Make A Wish Box and Make All Your Wishes Come True

wish boxFind a box that you like, it can be made from anything, an old chocolate box, or a small wooden box will do. Many people prefer wood as it protects from outside negative influences and is also said to attract good energies.

You can also personalise it in anyway that you like too  to make it extra special.
And then make a small slit in the top through which you can pop in your wishes as they occur to you.

Next place inside something that you desire, for example a photo of your dream house, a fabulous holiday destination, or your dream man/woman.
You can also write down your wish on a piece of paper too. Be sure to add as much detail as possible. The more specific you are as to what exactly you want, the more likely you are to get it! And remember, no wish is too big or to small for your wish box. The more you believe your wishes can true, then the more chance they will. It’s based on the Law of Attraction also known as Cosmic Ordering ( you can read about this here). This is a way of focusing energy and visualising just exactly what kind of outcome you would like to attract into your life. Many people have found this method to be extremely effective and have attracted all kind of fabulous opportunities and abundance into their life.
And yes it’s ok to add as many wishes as you like to the wish box!
And then all you have to do is leave the Universe to do the rest.
Check back from time to time to see how many of your wishes have come true.

The Healing Power of Pets

The Healing Power of Pets
A few years ago a leading psychologist suggested that hospital patients should be given “pets on prescription” to speed their recovery

Dr June McNicholas said that more hospitals and care homes should give visiting rights to animals when their owners were ill.

She said that in most cases patients were more likely to catch something from their human visitors than they were from their pets.

She added: “More hospitals should acknowledge the importance of animals in people’s lives and provide visiting rooms for those patients desperate to see their pets”

Pet visiting schemes

She said that while a handful of hospitals and hospices had very effective pet visiting schemes, many could do better.

“We already know that people love their pets but it can be dismissed as something like sentimentality and I think we dismiss a lot of what is so essential in people’s lives,” she said.

Dr McNicholas, from the Department of Psychology at the University of Warwick, said pets improved people’s chances of survival after a life-threatening illness, reduced stress and provided companionship.

She said if possible pets should have as much contact with their owners as possible without turning hospitals into a menagerie.

Pets ‘should be allowed on the bed’

This could also be achieved by letting patients see their pets through a window in a garden area outside the ward.

“Pet visiting rooms should be acceptable in hospitals wherever they can be fitted in, and where possible pets should be allowed on to the bed.

“I know this is going to raise huge cries of the risks but to be perfectly honest people are more likely to catch infections from their human visitors.”

Facts about the benefits of pets on human health

In a recent study of people who had suffered a bereavement, pet owners reported fewer physical symptoms. Further reseach has also uncovered:

  • More than 87 per cent of breast cancer patients in one study confirmed their pets provided support.
  • Experts believe owning pets can help boost immune systems of children – and even prevent, rather than cause, asthma.
  • Ferrets have been used to help blind children understand movement and space.
  • Dogs have been shown to be as good at reducing stress levels as a chat with a friend.
  • Some studies have shown that married couples who own a pet are more likely to be happy than those who without pets.
  • One research project in the late 1990s found that owning a pet was as good as opting for a low-salt diet in reducing blood pressure.

Buddha Buddies

Buddha BuddiesPlacing a statue of Buddha in your home or garden is said to bring peace, harmony and good luck and prosperity. What’s more you don’t have to become a Buddhist in order to benefit from its powers. Statues come in all shapes and sizes and different positions. These are just a few:

The laughing Buddha

One of the most popular Buddhas, usually shown with a big smile and a fat belly, this laughing statue is said to bring good fortune.

He’s also known as Ho Tai or Pu-Tai and in China as The Friendly One. He represents a Chinese monk from over 1,000 years ago, who was said to be an incarnation of Buddha. He’s usually seen carrying a small cloth sack, to represent abundance and plenty. Tradition dictates that you should rub his tummy once a day – to ensure that you never go hungry. He judges no one and is also known as the patron of sick children. Put him in a place of importance in the living room or on your work desk to reap maximum benefits.

The standing BuddhaThe standing Buddha

This statue is often shown in different positions. Standing with one palm held up and the other down, means that the Buddha will bring courage and stop arguments.

If his hands are crossed over his stomach, he’ll boost your confidence and can be a focus for meditation. He governs Sundays. The standing Buddha with his hands across his chest will bring contemplation and joy. He governs Friday.  If he carries a bowl of fruit, he’ll ensure that you never go hungry.

The Lotus BuddhaThe Lotus Buddha

The Buddha that sits in a lotus postion usually has both of his hands resting in front of him, facing upwards, and this is one of the most common positions of a Buddha statue.

This position represents the growing mind and is one of the best Buddhas for meditation.

How To Keep Your Spirit System Healthy

The mind, body and spirit are a bit like a finely tuned computer system. So any disruption in our lives is like having a bug or a virus that slows things down!

If we are living in disharmony, our chakras – which help energy flow from our spirit through to our minds and bodies – can act against us instead of in our favour. Why? Well, it’s often because we are sending out unclear signals that confuse the system! So here are a few tips for maintaining a healthy spirit:

  • Avoid feeling envious of other people – envy like jealousy is poision for your soul
  • Relieve stress by taking a quiet walk in the park or just quietly sit gazing out of the window. This gives your spirit a chance to transmit pleasurable signals through the mind and body, allowing it to rest.
  • Avoid ‘psychic’ vampires – people who leave you feeling exhausted just by being in their company.
  • Try not to prolong arguments – they preoccupy the spirit and mind and block productive energy.
  • Keep in check what you allow yourself to say. Expressions such as ‘I am sick to death of…’ or ‘I can’t stand this situation’ give the wrong instructions to your body.

Secrets Of The Healing Plants

Secrets Of The Healing Plants

About 75 per cent of plants and herbs, including many of those that we grow in our gardens, have powerful medicinal properties.

While a trip to the chemist will often help, there could be a cure closer to home. Psychic Reach rounds up some of the easiest healing plants to grow yourself.

Sage: The fresh leaves can be rubbed on to the teeth as a mouth deodorant and gum strengthener. Use the cooled liquid as a gargle or tincture.

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera is a rich, natural cocktail of more than 30 vitamins and minerals including lignin, which rapidly heals epithelial tissue – a delicate layer of cells that line the surface of the body. Excellent for all minor burns, it can also give rapid relief for acne sufferers and babies with nappy rash.

House Leek A useful remedy for eczema and allergic dermatitis on the hands. Pick off a rosette and pound the flesh inside, mixing it with 1 tsp of sweet almond or olive oil.

Lavender This plant has antiseptic, calming and detoxifying properties and is excellent for treating burns, bites and stings. You can make your own lavender oil by infusing fresh blooms in virgin olive oil, which can be used on all irritable skin conditions.

Seven Steps To Healing Yourself

Seven Steps To Healing Yourself

Many of us reach for the painkillers at the first signs of a headache or cold, but the art of self-healing is becoming increasingly popular among alternative circles

Below is a simple seven step self healing plan designed to heal common ailments from headaches and chest infections to digestive problems in under twenty minutes.

1. Prepare yourself for healing
Begin your self-treatment by lying on your back on a bed or sofa with a flat pillow or a rolled towel propped under your neck. This will help you relax and prevent your muscles from tensing up. Your arms should be by your side with your palms lightly touching your thighs in a relaxed way. Wear loose, warm clothes – as lying motionless lowers your body temperature.
With the light off, gently shut your eyes and mouth – try to breathe through your nostrils deeply and evenly. Inhale for two counts, hold for one and exhale for two counts – as deep as possible but without straining
When the in-breath matches the length of the out-breath, this allows a stable amount of energy to be drawn into the body. This also ensures that the lungs are thoroughly cleared before the next in-breath, which means that far more air is inhaled. As you breathe in, visualise drawing a white light into your body.
As you breathe out, think of circulating this white light that practitioners call ‘healing energy’ – throughout your body, sending it to parts of the body that feel below par. When you breathe out, think of cleansing your body of any toxic materials that could be lurking around.
Breathing deeply and rhythmically aids the uptake of oxygen and releases tension throughout the whole body. This creates a sense of calm, clears the mind and sharpens general awareness. Repeat this practise for two minutes.

2. Charge up your energy
With the tips of your fingers of both hands, gently brush your body for around two minutes. Begin sweeping in a downward movement from your head to your toes. This, according to practitioners, increases energy in your body, and practitioners claim ‘charges up’ or strengthens your ‘aura’ – the just visible energy field around our bodies which is composed of subtle matter which is said to reflect the state of our health. Imagine that healing power is entering your body to help make you fit and well.

3. Energise yourself
Place your right palm on your solar plexus – the area just above your navel which, claims author and alternative healing practitioner, Richard Lawrence, is your energy centre – the area responsible for generating fresh energy. Now cover your right hand with your left hand – as, practioners claim, healing energy travels down our arms at this point, into the palms of our hands and into our solar plexus. From here it is sent to the rest of our body. As you do this, breathe in for two counts, hold for one count and breathe out for two counts. If you start to experience tingling in your neck, head or spine it is a sign of energy being circulated around your body – if you do not, don’t worry this does not mean healing is not happening.

4. Ask your body to relax
With your eyes still closed, focus on the parts of your body which are tense. Gently instruct your body to relax: if your shoulder is tense, focus on your shoulder and gently imagine you are asking it to relax. Concentrate on each area you need to for around two minutes. Now, focus your attention on your heart. This technique is especially useful for people who lead a stressful life or if you’re feeling depressed. Paying attention to your heart in this way will help it beat slowly and strongly. Do this for two minutes.

5. Treating your ailments
Now you have energised and relaxed your body, focus your mind on getting better. It might be a headache, backache, or a chest infection. Keeping your right hand on your solar plexus, place your left hand on your ailment. With your eyes shut, spend one to five minutes visualising a white light travelling through your right hand towards your left – as if completing a circuit. Practitioners call this circuit the nadic linkages – which they believe is an energy channel which runs between the major ‘chakras’ or energy centres of our body. If energy is generated from the solar plexus – or battery centre – healers believe it will link the energy flow from one palm to the other.
Try not to limit your healing to one spot: if the pain stems from your neck, but is located in your shoulders, touch both areas. Keep up your deep rhythmic breathing and continue this process for a couple of minutes on each area.

6. Seal your healing

Seal your healing

Still lying down, visualise a warm violet glow coming up from the bed, through the floor and above your head. Imagine you are being bathed in this pulsating violet glow. Violet is the most spiritual colour of ancient mystical traditions, says Lawrence. For this reason, healers believe thinking of this colour will help to cleanse your body of negative energy.

7. Rounding off healing
Start to switch off from healing allowing your thoughts to come and go without indulging in them. Practioners call this ‘watching your own mind.’ This will allow your brain waves to move into an alpha state – otherwise known as meditation.
Recent clinical trials by Dr Herbert Benson and Dr Sarah Lazar of the American Mind and Body Medical Institute in Boston, proves that slowing down brain activity in this way gives our bodies time to gather strength and boost energy. When our bodies function properly, this in turn helps fight off stress-related illnesses such as heart disease, digestive problems, allergies and insomnia. Meditate for five minutes

Meditation: Good for the heart

Meditation: Good for the heart

Cuts risk of heart attack by 50%

Patients with heart disease almost halved their risk of heart attack by practising meditation, according to recent research.

In the first study of its kind, patients with heart disease who practised transcendental meditation were found to have nearly 50% lower rates of heart attack, stroke, and death compared with other non-meditating patients.

In the nine year trial, 201 African-American men and women with an average age of 59 were randomly assigned to stress-reducing transcendental meditation or health education classes about the risk factors for heart disease, including diet and exercise.

All patients had narrowing of the arteries and everyone in the trial continued taking their usual drug regime.

The results showed a 47% reduction in combined death, heart attacks, and strokes in the meditating patients compared with those taking the health education classes. They also had lower blood pressure, according to the results of a first-ever study presented during the annual meeting of the American Heart Association.

Dr Robert Schneider, who led the study, said: “Previous research on transcendental meditation has shown reductions in blood pressure, psychological stress, and other risk factors for heart disease, irrespective of ethnicity.

“But this is the first controlled clinical trial to show that long-term practice of this particular stress reduction program reduces the incidence of clinical cardiovascular events, that is heart attacks, strokes and mortality.”

Theodore Kotchen, professor of medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, said: “This study is an example of the contribution of a lifestyle intervention – stress management – to the prevention of cardiovascular disease in high-risk patients.”

Dr. Schneider said that the effect of transcendental meditation in the trial was like adding a class of newly discovered medications for the prevention of heart disease.

“In this case, the new medications are derived from the body’s own internal pharmacy stimulated by the transcendental meditation practice,” he said.

Healing The Mind And Body With Colour Therapy

Healing The Mind And Body With Colour Therapy

Are you interested in learning more about colour therapy?

Here’s a brief guide to how therapists diagnose and treat patients with colour.

There are a number of ways that colour therapists can diagnose their patients.

The first is called the Luscher Test. This entails being shown eight coloured cards. You are then asked to choose three that appeal to you. These colours relate to your emotional, mental and physical health and may reveal imbalances that need to be corrected.

Kinesiology This technique tests the muscles to discover any weak areas in the body. To find which colour is needed, a therapist will normally ask you to hold up each colour with your left hand, while holding your right arm horizontally across your body. As you look at each colour, the therapist will gently push your right arm. When no resistance is felt in the arm, therapists believe this means you need the colour you are holding.

Dowsing This technique can help diagnose any colours that you are lacking. A pendulum handing from either a cord or a chain is used and normally swings clockwise or anticlockwise in response to each question you answer with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response. The therapist works through the eight spectrum colours searching for a ‘yes’ response to show the colour you require.

Colour diagnostic chart Some therapists use this more complex method, based on the 32 vertebras of the spine. According to this method, the spine is divided into four sections, each containing eight vertebrae, relating to one of the colours of the spectrum.

From the top of the spine downwards, the first eight vertebrae make up mental health, the second eight emotional health, the next eight metabolism and the final eight physical health.

The therapist will ask you to sign your name on the back of a chart of the spine. The theory is that your signature contains your vibration and acts as a ‘witness’ – ie shows your energy. The therapist then dowses the spine to see which vertebrae need attention.

Therapists use different methods of treatment. One method of treatment involves shining light from a machine through stained glass filters onto the affected part of the body. You wear a white robe throughout the session and the therapist first carefully sets the machine so that it emits colour in its correct amounts.

Another treatment involves the therapist initially scanning your body and sensing the condition of your aura by moving his or her hands up and down your body. You are then treated by being draped in a silk of the appropriate colour and left in a bright room to absorb the maximum light. Alternatively a lamp can be used to illuminate the treatment room with the right colour.

Therapists claim improvement in many conditions often shows after three colour treatments. Between sessions you may be advised to wear certain colours, eat foods of these colours or visualise them several times daily.

What is Chakra Healing?

What is Chakra Healing?

Our chakras are vortexes of energy at seven centres in the body and relate to the flows of subtle energy throughout our endocrine system. They are symbols of the connection between the physical and spiritual and when they are in balance, we are in balance. When we are blocked, therefore it probably means one or more of our chakras is blocked.

Yogis have used this system for centuries as an essential part of healing. Although this ancient Indian system may seem out-of-touch from more orthodox medicine, there has been a big surge of interest in this and other more alternative therapies in recent years, especially where the use of more traditional prescription drugs has failed. The origins of this system are in Hindu culture and the earliest use of the word ‘chakra’ is found in the Vedas, the four holy books of the Hindu religion which date back to before 2500 BC.

The word chakra means ‘wheel’ or ‘disk’ in Sanscrit and they are normally portrayed as lotus flowers resonating at different frequencies and each corresponding with the colours of the rainbow. So the ‘root’(lowest) chakra corresponds with red and relates to our material existence;

the ‘kath’ (second) resonates with orange and our emotional/sexual feelings;

the ‘solar plexus’ (third) with gold or yellow and our identity and confidence;

the ‘heart’ (fourth) with green or pink and our feelings of love and forgiveness;

the throat (fifth) is blue and of course relates to communication; and the 3rd eye (sixth) is indigo and relates to psychic awareness and visions. (Interestingly many people with mental illness simply have a blockage or disturbance in this chakra). The crown (7th) chakra is our spiritual link with the divine and when this is fully balanced it is a very blissful place to be! The colour is amethyst. Another chakra is sometimes referred to, which exists between the heart and throat. This is the thymus chakra and relates to brotherly love and compassion. The colour for this is turquoise.

There are crystals too which correspond with each chakra. The fact that we can’t physically see our chakras is explained away by the fact that they are vibrating at a rate which is normally undetectable by all but the most gifted of humans, but there are very tangible benefits in balancing the body’s chakras, and we see evidence of this in the fact that more and more people are moving towards this and other forms of healing. Alternative practitioners know that these ancient systems work because of one thing, they view us in a holistic (or ‘wholistic’ way), ie as a whole person, and they base their beliefs on the fact that in order to create optimum well-being the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual must be in balance and working together to create a healthy, happy you! Why not find an alternative therapy that suits you – there are many books on chakra healing and that’s a great place to start! Other therapies along these lines are reflexology, aromatherapy, acupuncture, shiatsu, shen, reiki, crystal healing, hot stone therapy, craniosacral therapy, and Indian Head Massage, Alexander technique, Aurvedic medicine – to name but a few! So be well and may you walk in beauty this summer.

How to Meet Your Spirit Guides

How to Meet Your Spirit Guides

Who are your spirit guides? Did you know that each of us has a team of spirit guides who help us on our life path?  They are with us through all our lives surrounding us with love and come in many forms.

For example, you might have a highly evolved guide who has had many previous lives, or a wise grandparent who has passed over into the spirit world and who is assisting you now.

Guides can work with us in many ways or might have a specific role, some are serious and some have a great sense of humour!

Guides can help in many ways such as helping us find our true life path and direction and are always in the background cheering you on! Here are a few simple tips to form a stronger bond with your guides.

Meeting Your Spirit Guides

There are lots of ways that you can do this, but two simple ways are through visualisation and automatic writing.

A visualisation for meeting your Spirit Guides

This is great for actually seeing who your guides are.

  • Sit down comfortably somewhere quiet and take a few calm, deep breaths, breathing out any tensions from your body and mind.
  • Close your eyes and see yourself walking into a beautiful garden with a bench at the centre. See yourself sitting on this bench and ask for your guide to approach you and sit next to you.
  • Ask your guide any questions you may have. Then thank your guide for coming and see yourself leaving the garden.
  • Feel yourself coming back into the room and back into your body. Slowly open your eyes.
  • Write down the information you get from your guide as this helps you build a relationship with them.

Automatic Writing

Automatic writing is a process where you use writing to channel information from your guides. It’s brilliant for getting very specific information.

  • Again, find a quiet space where you can sit down with a pen and piece of paper. Take three deep breaths and breathe out any tension
  • Start with a simple question such as, who is the spirit guide working with me at this moment in my life? Empty your mind and write the answer that immediately comes to you without censoring it.
  • Ask as many questions as you like. At the end, thank them for their help and clap your hands loudly three times to clear the energy and ground yourself.

What is Healing Through Touch?

What is Healing Through Touch?Your mother’s touch was the first healing through touch you ever experienced. She gave you her healing energy from infancy when she loved you and rocked you to soothe your colicky crying, to when you fell over and she rubbed your sore knee better, to her sympathetic cuddle when your first love dumped you. Make no mistake, mother’s love heals.  And humankind has trusted and relied upon those who heal by touch since the dawn of our existence.

In every culture, in every tribe there is a history of healing through touch, known as ‘the laying on of hands’. Ancient Chinese and Aztec magicians, Native American medicine givers, and shamans around the planet have applied sensitivity, insight, courage and compassionate science to interrupt illness, disease or negativity in their fellows.

Today’s alternative medicine often includes different types of healing through touch, though these modalities are meant to safely complement conventional care, not replace it. Here are some examples:

• Reiki. Developed in the early 20th century by a Japanese monk, it’s the laying on of hands to reduce stress and promote relaxation leading to healing.

• Massage Therapy. One of the oldest of healing modalities and one of today’s most popular sources of complementary healing. Dating back 3,000 years in Chinese history and known everywhere, massage has trained practitioners manipulate muscles, skin, and tissue to affect healing and stress reduction.

• Qigong. A Mandarin technique with many ways to practice. One form involves interacting with living organisms, manipulation of the body, and specialized massage.

• Healing Touch. Developed by a nurse, Janet Mentgen, who espouses energy-based care. She adopted modalities from ancient shamans and from various aboriginal healing ways.

In healing through touch sessions, a trained practitioner sets the scene with music, scents, and lighting. This isn’t show biz, it’s a way to precondition the body and mind to quieten, to relax, and to accept re-balancing. To be effective, the therapy must bring the body into balance and alignment—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The idea is that toxins, pain, illness, and unbalance block the flow of energy, including healing energy. Touch can reestablish clear channels. Once those blocks are removed, the patient has the greatest opportunity for healing and re-balancing.

Weeping Walls

Weeping Walls

Bereaved parents George and Lina Tannous believe their dead son is performing miracles after the walls in their home started weeping.

A strange oil, which scientists haven’t yet identified, first began leaking down the walls of their house in Sydney, Australia, a few weeks after 17-year-old Mike died in a car crash. The Tannouses claim the oil has healing properities, and people flock to the house to cure their ailments.

Last year a woman who lived near the Tannous’ house was told by doctors she could not have the third child she desperately wanted.

“She came here and prayed . . . one month later she came with a box of chocolates and said ‘Guess what, I am pregnant’,” Mike’s aunt Susan Sawan said.

‘Mike is a messenger between us and God. He’s healed so many people claims proud mum Lina.

Guide To How Cosmic Ordering Works

Guide To How Cosmic Ordering Works

“Cosmic Ordering” hit the national headlines in 2006 when TV presenter, Noel Edmonds revealed how a book “Cosmic Ordering” by German author, Barbel Mohr had changed his life for the better. Noel said that the ideas in the book had helped him focus on what he really wanted in life, and brought him personal happiness and also renewed success with his hit game show “Deal or No Deal”.

And even now several years later Cosmic Ordering is still as popular as ever with many websites devoted to it and several spin off books.

So if you feel you need a little magical help from the Universe to improve your life, here’s a simple guide to how it works:

Cosmic Ordering harnesses the power of positive thinking and the creative energy of our thoughts to manifest whatever we desire. There are no limits, you can ask for anything, a new love or a new house, money or wealth, health or healing… whatever you desire can be yours. The only demand is that you are positive, be open and be at ease, requesting your cosmic order without worry or attachment to the outcome.

What is Cosmic Ordering?

Cosmic Ordering is the process of identifying something you want or need in your life and then simply placing the order with the cosmos by asking for it. Visualize what it is you want, lightly holding that request in your mind without worry or attachment to the outcome, and then releasing it to the cosmos. The cosmic ordering service should then be left to fulfil your order in its own creative way. There are many theories about how it works, but the general consensus is that at some level we are all connected; our thoughts are creative and energetic and can communicate through the cosmic connections. Whether it is our own creative thoughts or some other power that finally manifests our desires is a question for each individual and one of the wonderful mysteries of life. The important thing however is that it works. How often have you thought about someone you haven’t been in contact with for a while and then shortly afterwards they contact you? Our thoughts are powerful and creative. Cosmic ordering is about harnessing that positive energy and using it to help realize our dreams.

What Do I Need To Know To Place A Successful Order?

Be positive, be open and be at ease. Negativity, closed thinking and anxiety will kill the process dead. If you find that these things are blocking your ability to successfully place and receive your cosmic orders, then you may need to do additional clearing work to remove the emotional or psychological blocks to your success. The best thing though, is to start ordering small, inconsequential things to build your confidence in the process. Here are some general guidelines for Cosmic Ordering.

Will the Cosmic Ordering Service Work For Me?

Sometimes the delivery can be subtle and you must be open and alert for the opportunities the cosmic ordering service delivers to you as part of the fulfilment process. For example you might “accidentally” bump into someone who could prove to be invaluable. Or you could discover a key piece of information, get an inspiration or have a brainwave that paves the way for your delivery. You must be ready and willing to take the opportunities when they arrive.

4 Great Benefits of Cosmic Ordering

1. It keeps you focused. Research shows that people who write down their needs and goals are more likely to achieve them.

2. It Boosts your Self-Confidence. When you believe that something is possible, your subconscious is more aware and alert for relevant opportunities when they arrive.

3. It Brings You Positive Experiences. Sending out positive energy into the Cosmos will automatically attract positive people and opportunities to you. Studies also suggest that that people with lots of friends suffer least from depression.

4.It Brings You Good Health. Thinking positively will mean you’re less likely to suffer from stress, which in turn will have a positive influence on your health. Stress encourages unhealthy behaviour like smoking, drinking and eating junk food. It can suppress your immune system and increase your blood pressure, raising the risk of heart disease over time. Some research even suggests that optimists live longer than pessimists.

Happy ordering.

Tap Into The Power Of The Egyptian Gods

Tap Into The Power Of The Egyptian Gods

The Egyptians believed in the preventative power of magic and created charms and amulets to keep them safe.

They incorporated symbols associated with the gods, and inscribed them with hieroglyphs, using sacred stones to bump up the power quota, and often wearing them as jewellery.

Tap into the power of the gods by using the stones connected with them. Choose one that suits your needs and either wear it as jewellery, or keep it in a velvet pouch. Write your desire on a piece of paper in red ink and then add it to a charm bag.

CARNELLIAN: Red and orange were the colours of power, heat, fire and passion. This stone was associated with the goddess Sekhmet. Use it to restore vitality and give you strength when stressed. It helps to boost confidence and personal power.

JADE: Used in statues and artwork, jade was thought to embody perfect harmony. It was also used in protective amulets. Hold a piece of jade for happiness, balance and to promote good health.

LAPIS LAZULI: This stone was often used to make scarab amulets. Its colour matches the deep blue of the sky, and it was thought mediating with it helped commune with the gods. Use lapis to tap into your higher self, and receive psychic messages.

MALACHITE: This green stone is associated with pleasure and the goddess Hathor. Use malachite in charms for good fortune and abundance.

PERIDOT:  The Egyptians referred to this as the ‘gem of the Sun’ because of its startling colour when held up to the light. This green gold stone was believed to keep away evil spirits. Wear today to inject playfulness into your life and as a form of protection.

TURQUOISE:  This stone was prized by the Egyptians who loved to make jewellery from it. Turquoise brought great joy and was associated with the goddess Hathor. Wear as a pendant to improve communication skill and stimulate new ideas.

The Egyptian Book of the Dead

The Egyptian Book of the Dead

The Egyptian Book of the Dead

This might not sound like a bestseller to us, but to the Ancient Egyptians it was an essential read!

It may seem morbid to place such importance on the dead, but with hundreds of gods waiting on the other side, the Egyptians believed in securing a soul’s path to the next life.

They did this by anointing the dead, and burying them with charms and seals. Text from the book would be carved on the sarcophagus, and in later years, written on papyrus. It was important the book was close  at hand, so that the dead soul could refer to it during their journey to the underworld.

The book itself contained spells, charms and passwords which make the transaction run smoothly.

Pyramid Power

No one can deny the startling beauty of the pyramids. Amazing works of art, they evoke powerful feelings and also some interesting theories as to how they were created.

The Egyptians used them as tombs for their pharaohs and queens. They were built at an angle to the Sun to incorporate its powers.

Some believe that they were triangular in shape so the spirits of the dead could climb easily to the stars and on to the next life.  The point and the way the pyramid stretches outwards at the base is also linked to the rays of the Sun.

Free Psychic Readings

Most days I get requests in my inbox asking for a free psychic reading.Free Psychic Readings

First of all, I would like to say I do not offer a free psychic reading service.

I am professional psychic with many years experience and I put a lot of energy into each and every psychic reading I do. So like professionals in all fields I do make a charge for my time! This is the way I earn my living and pay my bills.

Some people believe that those who do psychic work shouldn’t charge for their service. I find this a very strange attitude. I think you will agree that these people wouldn’t be willing to work for hours of their time for FREE!

If you Google ‘Free psychic readings’ you will find hundreds of psychics showing up.

But you should be aware that this supposedly ‘free psychic reading service’ is often just a guise to draw you into buying a paid for reading. The free reading is unlikely to offer you any true psychic insight and it most certainly will Not help you move forward from problems in your life as do my psychic email readings.

I do however believe in putting something back into the community on my Facebook fan page as a thank you for the support of my fans. So a couple of times a week I do offer several competitions to win free psychic readings. So if you would like a taster of my services, then do feel to take part in the competitions.

I hope this now clarifies my position on this subject.

All good wishes,

Linda x

Psychic scams: Different types of psychic scams

Psychic scams: Different types of psychic scamsFor centuries, people have been fascinated with the idea of predicting the future as well as the unknown in general. Many of them turn to psychics for help and advice on a wide variety of topics ranging from finding true love, career, etc.

While many psychics like myself are completely reputable and honest, unfortunately, some are only out to get peoples’ hard earned money.

So I’m writing this article today, because I’ve had a couple of my email psychic client’s contact me lately saying they are worried about an email they have received from a ‘so called psychic’.

I won’t go into all the details, but they were distressed to be told that they had some kind of trouble approaching which the psychic had foreseen, and the only way to avoid the trouble happening was to send this so-called psychic a lot of money to work towards preventing it!

First of all, I would say that a genuine psychic never ever sends out emails such as this. It is against our psychic code of ethics. We work only to bring enlightenment to the client, not fear.

So I thought I would outline some of the most common types of psychic scams, so you don’t fall victim to this type of thing too.

Firstly, if a psychic offers to sell you the winning numbers for a lottery draw, you should be wondering why they would do this. If the psychic really knew the numbers, why they wouldn’t just keep the numbers to themselves, win big, and lead a life free of financial worries?

Another common type of psychic scam is when a psychic or psychic medium tells you that you are cursed and that they can remove it for a fee. This fee is usually exorbitant (hundreds or even thousands of pounds!). They might offer to remove the curse as a service or they might sell you something that is intended to fix it, such as an expensive crystal, potion or candle. These people are using fear to manipulate you into giving them money. Don’t fall for it. The only curse or spell that’s being cast is their own karmic debt for scamming people. You need not worry. And if you are worried send the email to me, and I’ll destroy it!

Another common scam is ‘love spell’ casting services. Here a psychic/witch tells you that they can put a spell on someone to make that person fall madly in love with you. No one can put a spell on another person and overcome that person’s free will, which is why this is a complete scam.

We all have the power to say positive affirmations, set intentions and visualize any outcome that we want to create. And these can be particularly effective with matters of love.  But you can do this yourself– you don’t need a psychic/witch to do it for you. They certainly don’t have any more power or influence than you, so don’t waste your money paying for love spell casting services.

Another scam is when someone guarantees that they can heal you using some form of energy healing technique. Now I do believe in distant energy healing done with pure intentions. But don’t allow your desperation to be healed to get in the way of your common sense. You ought to be immediately suspicious when the person “guarantees” that you will be healed. I would be even more suspicious if they guarantee your healing and charge thousands of pounds for the service.

A final piece of advice regarding psychic scammers is that they tend to like cash by registered post or bank transfer. So if some stranger is trying to convince you to send them money this way only, that should be a red flag that it might be a scam!

Take care out there.

What does it mean if pink is your favourite colour?

What does it mean if pink is your favourite colour? If your favourite colour is pink, then you are a true romantic at heart. You see this is a colour that is associated strongly with romance, sweetness, delicacy refinement, and tenderness.

People who prefer pink are also interested in the world around them, but they are not pushy types. As a result pinks have energy, but not the kind that drains everyone around them! Violence in any form upsets them greatly.

At one time pink was considered exclusively feminine, like the frosting on a little girl’s birthday cake. However, now that it is no longer considered ‘less macho’ for men to exhibit sensitive, so called ‘feminine traits’, many men are comfortable with pink and some even wear items of clothing in this colour.

If you love pink, it’s also said that you are talented, and have subdued drive, charm and warmth, and are probably an incurable, candles-on-the-table kind of romantic. Pink people are also refined and friendly but tend to keep inner feelings hidden from the people they don’t know intimately.

Cosmic Cash Point: Prosperity Tip

Cosmic Cash Point: Prosperity TipProsperity can’t come into your life if you’re surrounded by stagnant energy according to the ancient art of Feng Shui.

Shake things up and introduce positive Chi energy with this simple Feng Shui tip.

Move 21 things in your home. Try putting them into a different room, change the positions of books on shelves, shift the furniture around, box up stuff you don’t use and store it in a cupboard or the loft.

By doing so you’ll encourage movement and flow into your environment once again. As the Chi starts flowing freely through the house again, improved cash flow should soon follow.

Messages in the clouds

Messages in the cloudsDo you ever lie on the grass and watch the fantastic faces, animals and landscapes in the clouds? The shapes you see often reflect what’s happening in your subconscious and also what you’re picking up clairvoyantly from the universe.

Cloud interpretation is an an ancient way to look into the future. You can try this exercise with friends or on your own. Repeat regularly to develop your intuition, which is an important psychic skill.

  1. Lie on the grass or a beach and look up to the sky.
  2. Now ask a question such as: ‘Will I get a new job?’
  3. Look for a shape in the clouds that will give you an answer. Don’t go for the most obvious one. Let you imagination run wild and look for images in the blue sky in between the clouds as well. The shape that appears is your intuition’s answer to the question
  4. Now interpret the shape/symbol you’ve seen. So, for example, if you see a dragon, this might represent a fiery and impatient boss. An open door may symbolise a new opportunity, while a map may mean a relocation, and so on.
  5. Note down your results and see what comes true.

Trusting your gut instincts ‘really works’

Trusting your gut instincts 'really works'Trusting your gut instincts ‘really works’.

New research proves that trusting your gut instincts really does pay off.

Participants at Israel’s Tel Aviv University were shown a series of numbers in quick succession and asked to ‘guess’ what they added up to based on instinct alone (they were flashed up too rapidly to be added up properly)

The results showed that the participants were able to get the right sum 90% of the time!

Professor Marius Usher said: “The study demonstrates that gut reactions can be trusted to make a quality decision”

Well I’ve been saying that for ages!

Cosmic Ordering for improved finances

Cosmic Ordering for improved financesChristmas is fast approaching and you may be complaining that you can’t afford things. If so, you could be programming your mind for future poverty!

Yes, some things may certainly be beyond your means and Christmas is an expensive time, but the future is yours to create and that includes your long-term financial prospects.

There are, of course, some circumstances that you can’t control – the recession for instance – but if you keep reaffirming your lack of funds, you’ll only feel depressed and worse off than you really are.

Instead try to remain positive by saying ‘This is something I want and deserve. I will find a way to afford it easily as soon as possible’

Once you put the request for  improved financial circumstances out into the cosmos -you give it validation and it begins to grow in strength. And you should notice that your cosmic order may be delivered to you in the strangest of ways and often much sooner than you think!

Skeleton Art

Skeleton ArtMost of us are spending these long cold winter nights indoors, toasting our toes by the fire whilst watching TV – but not Finnish artist, Janne Parvianen. After dark, the 30-year-old bravely treks into the dark woods, where he ‘paints’ these LED skeletal figures using a camera set to a long exposure.

Bone-chillingly beautiful don’t you think?

The scariest cave in Britian

The scariest cave in BritianOnly the bravest would tackle a cave whose icy waters have already claimed the lives of several divers.

But if there was any doubt about the peril that awaits at Hodge Close Quarry, one need only look at this picture

The lake at the abandoned slate quarry is an eerie enough place – but as this image shows if you turn your head you are greeted with the terrifying image of a giant skull.

Inside the 150ft deep cave lurk a number of underwater tunnels where three divers have lost their lives in recent years.

And above the skull image looms menacingly , a spooky warning to those who dare to dive there.

Emails from the afterlife

Emails from the afterlifeFriends of a 32-year-old Pennsylvanian man who died from heart problems claim that they have received emails from him – five months after his death!

Tim Hart got an email from his late pal, Jack Froese, telling him to clean up his attic – a jokey reference to a private conversation between the pair shortly before Jack’s death in June 2011. ‘I was going through my emails and it popped up: “Sender: Jack Froese.” I turned white when I read it he says.

Jack’s cousin Jimmy McGraw also claims to have received a posthumous email about a recent ankle injury.

The family says no one knew Jack’s password and don’t believe his account has been hacked into. What do you think?

Death Clocks

Death ClocksDuring Victorian times, at the moment of someone’s death, all the clocks in the house were stopped as a mark of respect.

Back then people believed that time stood still during our transition into the spirit world, so this custom ensured that the deceased could pass peacefully into the afterlife.

Timely arrivalTimely arrival

In his book Ghost Watch, Professor Colin Gardner describes the case of a man referred to only as Stephen, who owned a grandfather clock that stopped at the exact moment of his  death at the age of 72.

Then one year later, the clock suddenly beginning ticking again – at precisely the moment that Stephen’s daughter, Lori, gave birth to what would have been his first grandchild had he lived.

What does the shape of your eyes say about your personality?

Here’s a small selection of some of my popular psychic readings

Mini Soul Mate Reading via Email Who is your Soul Mate? Find out, who, when, where. Just £14.95 Click here for more details

WHAT DOES THE SHAPE OF YOUR EYES SAY ABOUT YOUR PERSONALITY?The old saying goes that ‘the eyes are the window of the soul’, and in the ancient Chinese art of face reading (physiognomy) the shape of the eyes is said to reveal a great deal about a person’s personality.

So what does your eye shape say about you? Find out below by scrolling down to find your particular eye shape.

Large eyes: Someone with naturally large eyes, is said to have an open friendly nature. She likes to view life from a wide perspective and enjoys plenty of variety in her life. She certainly doesn’t like to be tied down by trivial details and petty restrictions

Small eyes: When someone has small eyes, she is said to be skilled at concentrating on details. She tends to view life from a narrow perspective, so she excels at being a specialist, i.e. teacher, researcher or some kind of expert. She finds it difficult to open up emotionally to strangers so it can take a while to get to know her well.

Widely spaced eyes: Someone with widely spaced eyes (the late Jackie O was renowed for this) is said to be broad minded and versatile. She enjoys discussing a wide variety of topics because she’s interested in so many different issues and ideas. Most people with small eyes really hate regular routine.

Closey spaced eyes: The person whose eyes are closely spaced, so that there is very little gap between the inner corner of her eyes and the bridge of her nose, likes to look at life in great detail and may be something of a ‘fusspot’. They have a tendency to be obsessive and narrow-minded. Regular routine is the life-blood of their day

Deep-set eyes: The person with deep set eyes is very private and reluctant to reveal to much of her personality to others. She likes to play her cards close to her chest, which can make her seem rather secretive at times and emotionally withdrawn.

Protruding eyes: When someone’s eyes appear to bulge outwards, she is enthusiastic and curious about the world. She is very versatile and is easily bored, so can find it difficult to stick to one activity for long

Upward slanting eyes: When the outer corner of someone’s eyes slant upwards like those of a cat, the person is by nature an optimist. She knows what she wants from life and is not afraid to ask for it.

Downward slanting eyes: When the corner of the eye slant downwards, the person finds it hard stand up to other people. She may also have pessimitic tendencies.

Unevently set eyes: When someone’s eyes aren’t level, so one is higher than the other, it shows that she has an unusual and unorthodox approach to life. She has tremondous insight, and is able to anaylze situations from a unique perspective.

Irises: Pay attention to the size and position of the iris within an eye. A large iris, so that little of the white is visible indicates someone who’s very emotional, demonstrative and kind. If the white of the yes is visible about the iris, the person is said to have a quick temper and should therefore be handled with care. If the white of the eye is visible below the iris, the person is hard to please and has difficulty coping with life.

Eyebrows: Don’t forget to look at the person’s eyebrows as well. These frame the face and give it structure. Some people, both male and female, like to pluck their eyebrows so you must take this into account. The stronger and longer the eyebrow, the more strength and vitality a person is said to have. She’s energetic, and ambitious with a vibrant and powerful personality.

Alternatively, someone with naturally sparse, thin, or short eyebrows makes less of an impression on the world and may also be less physically robust.

Astral Travel Made Simple

Astral Travel Made SimpleAstral travel (or astral projection as it’s sometimes known) refers to the process where your spirit leaves your body and rises up to travel to far-off places.

The first full Moon in May is said to be the best night of the whole year for astral travel, because it throws out powerful magical energy – ideal for practising meditation and visualisations.

If you’d like to try some astral travel this full moon, first take a nice warm bath before you go to bed to relax your mind, and then put on some loose clothing. Lying on your back under the bed covers make sure that you are not blocking energy flow by crossing your arms and legs. Then for about 10 minutes, breath in for three seconds, then out for three seconds, concentrating all the time on your breathing.

When it has settled into a rhythm, in your mind, ask the moon to connect you with its powers and the spirits to protect and assist you on your astral flight.

Don’t expect too much if this is your first attempt, it can take a while to get the knack of astral travel, but if you had already had dreams of flying or running fast, then you are likely to experience success fairly quickly.

Banish Negative Energy With A Mirror

Banish Negative Energy With A MirrorIt’s believed by Romanies that a way to banish bad energy is to use mirror magic.

Mirrors have been used to combat negative energy and bad luck for thousands of years. In the same way that they reflect back our image to us, they can also deflect bad energy, if we use them in the right way. It’s not complicated.

If you feel someone has been bad-mouthing you, or is generally set on making your life a misery, all you need is a small cosmetic mirror.

The next time you see the person, take out the mirror and discreetly point the glass in their direction.

As you’re doing that, imagine the bad luck and negative vibes they’ve been sending you deflected straight back to them.

Use the mirror like a suit of armour. They’ll have no power to harm again.

Who Says Money Doesn’t Grow On Trees?

The old saying goes that money doesn’t grow on trees.

But it certainly appears to do so on the mysterious coin-studded trunks dotted around the UK’s woodland.

The strange phenomenon of gnarled old trees with coins embedded all over their bark has been spotted on trails from the Peak District to the Scottish Highlands.

The coins are usually knocked into felled tree trunks using stones by passers-by, who hope it will bring them good fortune.

These fascinating spectacles often have coins from centuries ago buried deep in their bark and warped by the passage of time.

The tradition of making offerings to deities at wishing trees dates back hundreds of years, but this combination of the man-made and the natural is far more rare.

It used to be believed that divine spirits lived in trees, and they were often festooned with sweets and gifts – as is still done today at Christmas.

The act is similar to that of tossing money into ponds for good luck, or the trend for couples to attach ‘love padlocks’ to bridges and fences to symbolise lasting romance.

Some pubs, such as the Punch Bowl in Askham, Cumbria, have old beams with splits in them into which coins are forced for luck.

There are seven felled tree trunks with coins pushed into them in the picturesque village of Portmeirion, in Wales.

Meurig Jones, an estate manager at the tourist destination, told the BBC: ‘We had no idea why it was being done when we first noticed the tree trunk was being filled with coins.

‘I did some detective work and discovered that trees were sometimes used as “wishing trees” .

‘In Britain it dates back to the 1700s – there is one tree in Scotland somewhere which apparently has a florin stuck into it.’

He said that a sick person could press a coin into a tree and their illness would go away.
‘If someone then takes the coin out though, it’s said they then become ill.’

‘We haven’t publicised it at all, it’s just happened,’ he added. ‘It’s quite amazing really.’

In Scotland, there is also a legend about a kissing tree. If a young man could drive a nail into a tree with one blow, he earned a kiss from his sweetheart.

Yoko Ono has used wishing trees in her artwork, and in 1877 Queen Victoria wrote about visiting an oak tree with coins stuck in it in the Highlands.

Capture Janus’s January Blessings

Capture Janus's January BlessingsThe first month of the year is named after the Roman God Janus. Images show him with two faces, one facing forward to the year ahead and the other facing backwards to the one just ended.

Janus helps us see things clearly, so we can move forward with our lives. He’s also the guardian of doorways and houses and protects our private space. To summon his help, leave a basket or bowl of fruit near the front door or hang dried herbs or flowers there. Capture Janus's January Blessings
