Gary's Spook-adilly Circus
Legendary 1980s pop star Gary Numan, who shot to fame with hits such as 'Are Friends Electric?' and 'Cars', once saw an apparition at a crowded London underground station.
Gary said about the spooky experience: "I was with a friend of mine, on our way to buy a guitar in Wardour Street. We used to sit in an end carriage, as they were a little less crowded most of the time. We got off the train at Piccadilly Circus and, we were chatting to each other about the band we were going to put together, we followed, without paying too much attention, the stream of passengers that had got off the train ahead of us.
He added: " Directly in front of us was an older man wearing a hat and a long grey coat, and further in front of him was a group of girls, and so on. A few people were behind us, but not many. As we reached the top of one of the escalators we followed the man in front around a corner to the left, walked a few more steps, and then came up against a wall. It looked as if the corridor we were in had been sealed countless years before. No sign of the man. We both checked with each other that we had been following the man and then realised that all the other passengers had gone. We ran as fast as we could out of the station. The man we saw has played a big part in my career ever since. He is drawn leaning on a wall on the cover of my Replicas album, and I am dressed as him on the cover of Dance and I, Assassin album covers. He’s also mentioned in many songs, including 'Are ‘Friends’ Electric?'.

Romany Love Spell - To Encourage A Lover's Return
To encourage a lover back all you need is a box of new pins, an onion, and the desire for your partner's love.
Begin on a Friday night by pressing one pin into the onion. Imagine you are putting a thought into your lover's mind, as you pierce the onion with pin, say:
It is not this onion I wish to stick,
But your mind and heart I wish to prick.
You'll think of me night and day,
Until with words you arrive and say, " I Love You."
Leave the onion in the sunlight, to invoke enlightenment.
This spell must be repeated for seven consecutive nights, preferably at the same time each evening. When the onion has seven pins in it your spell is completed. Plant the onion in the open with love's blessings.

Did A Scottish Artist Foresee 9/11?
Many people believe that a chalk drawing done by an artist in the 1980s gives a terrifying premonition of 9/11. The spooky artwork depicts a forlorn young girl flanked by two jet planes with the Twin Towers swamped by flames.
But in fact it was drawn more than 10 years before the atrocity.
Artist Willie Gardner died in November last year at the age of 78 taking with him to the grave exactly what inspired him to create the work.
It shows the falling locks of the child's hair spiralling downwards. It looks like fire and smoke billowing into the sky from one of the doomed towers.
The drawing has hung in the reception of the Grangemouth Community Education Unit in Stirlingshire.
Depiction
It looks so much like a depiction of 9/11 visitors thought it was a tribute to those who died in the New York terror attacks.
Lex Cook who was education unit co-ordinator at the centre in the late 1980s said: "It was maybe 1988 or 1989 when I first saw Willie's drawing. The boss here at the time liked it and Willie kindly gave it to him to display in the centre.
"As far as I know Willie did the work when he was a member of the centre's art club. I can remember at the time standing looking at it and trying to figure out what it was showing.
"It was quite eye-catching but also strange at the same time.
"I never thought about it being linked to the Twin Towers attacks because I've been looking at it for so long.
"Then you get someone with a fresh pair of eyes who sees it and people have asked if it is a tribute to the victims of 9/11."
Memorial
Unit manager Jody Cannon said he thought it was some kind of an artistic memorial.
He said: "The guy who first showed it to me ruined it by then telling me it was painted before 9/11.
"Now when I show it to someone new I don't say anything and they usually say it must be some kind of tribute.
"When I tell them it was painted before it happened they just don't believe it."
The artist's daughter Aileen Currie, 53, said: "I do know it was done years before the Twin Towers were destroyed.
"He was always interested in art and had been painting since he was young.
"He was a member of the art group in the education unit. It was just one of his drawings and I think it had been lying in the back office for years before they moved it into the reception area."
But she couldn't explain her father's apparent premonition.
Centre co-ordinator Emma Allardyce said: "In hindsight its significance is remarkable. But people have to make up their own minds."

What is Reiki Healing?
What is Reiki?
Reiki- from the Japanes words ‘rei’ meaning spiritual and ‘kik’ meaning energy – is a form spiritual healing that channels energy through the practitioner to the recipient to help harmonise mind, body and spirit.
For humans, it involves lying fully clothed on a couch while the healer hovers their hands over you. Healing energy is then transferred through the palms of the reiki master.
You don’t need to be psychic or spiritual to learn how to give reiki, but you need to be ‘attuned’ before you can channel the energy to yourself or others.
Reiki Share is a new trend where reiki healers gather together to give and receive healing with each other. It’s also a way for anyone interested in learning reiki to find out more.
Reiki is know to work well on plants and animals as well as humans.

Is This Proof of Life After Death?
For years people who have talked of having an out-of-body near-death experience have been dismissed as crackpots or attention seekers. But a new study reveals that one in 10 heart-attack victims have spoken of just such an episode which left them feeling either at peace or at the gates of hell.
When the first explanation for near-death experiences came, it seemed straightforward.
According to scientists the cause was anoxia, when the brain is starved of oxygen.
Caroline Watts of Edinburgh University explained: "Cells in the visual cortex of the brain are dying off and some are firing randomly.
"It has been argued that this causes flashes of circles which appear to be a tunnel with a light at the end to the person experiencing them."
"People who have experienced near-death experiences - NDEs - often say it is pleasant.
"But if you are near death or injured your body releases endorphins, which are the body's natural opiates, which help to produce the serene and peaceful feelings associated with NDEs."
However, a survey published in 2004 reported that after a 13-year study conducted in Dutch hospitals appears to turn this theory on its head.
According to the man in charge of it, Dr Pim van Lommel, anoxia cannot be the sole explanation as only 18 per cent of heart attack victims experienced an NDE.
If the theory was correct, he argued, all patients who were later revived should have had one. This has led Dr van Lommel and other medical professionals to speculate that the mind can operate independently from the brain.
One of the striking things about NDEs is how similar they are.
In cardiac victims they often start with the feeling of floating out of the body and viewing ongoing medical efforts to save them.
This is followed by a voyage through a dark or black tunnel towards a bright light and accompanied by feelings of love and peace. Sometimes there is a review of your life.
Many report meeting either a supernatural being, such as Buddha or God, or dead relatives who tell them it's not their time to die and to go back. People who experience this type of NDE subsequently no longer fear death.
However, sometimes people are dragged or fall down the tunnel towards a black nothingness away from the bright light. This void is described as a place full of fear, pain and terror. Not surprisingly, these people fear death afterwards.
Reverend Douglas Davies, a Professor in theology at Durham University and an expert on NDEs, said: "There is not a single Christian perspective on this issue and it depends on what tradition you come from.
"There are fundamentalist Christians who believe that NDEs are proof of life after death and that there is a soul.
"This idea is more important to Roman Catholics than it is for Anglicans who generally believe that when you die you remain dead until Jesus Christ returns for Judgment Day. NDEs don't fit in with the idea of Jesus rising from the dead because nowhere in the scriptures does it say he had an NDE and visited heaven and came back.
"There are scientists who are now arguing that the brain and mind are separate. But this doesn't mean this is proof of a soul and to make this captive to Christian belief could be a mistake.
"Interestingly, NDEs are like religious conversion experiences. "Many of those who become born-again into a religion report they no longer fear death."
Ann Winsper, a parapsychologist, said: "Many theories have been put forward to explain NDEs in purely "scientific" terms. However, for every theory proposed there have been scientific studies of cases that do not fit the proposed explanation.
"Death is usually accepted once a patient has a flat EEG (Electro Encephalography) reading . . . brain death equates with death of the individual.
"However there are documented studies of patients having accurate impressions of events that took place while their brains showed a flat EEG.
"This has enormous implications. Does it imply that consciousness continues after death, and does this confirm that NDEs are not simply the last gasps of a dying brain, but transcendence to another plane of consciousness?
"So far, we just don't know."

Spirit Security
When the owner of a grocery shop in Kampung Binjai, Malaysia, returned to his shop with his wife from their hometown in Kota Baru after celebrating a religious festival, they found a dehydrated intruder lying in a room. It turned out the intruder had planned to burgle the shop but had been foiled – by a spirit! The 36-year-old burglar was trapped for 72 hours without food or water by a force that he couldn’t see.
‘Each time I wanted to flee, I felt a supernatural figure shoving me to the ground’ he told police.
The spook seems to have done a better job than a guard dog!

Numerology - Discover Your Personal Number
In Numerology, your personal number (or life path number) is the number that represents who you are and the purpose for which your journey on earth is intended. To calculate your personal number is really easy. What you need to do is total the numbers in your birth date until you come to a single digit. For example, a person born on November 3, 1975 (03/11/1975) would calculate their number as follows:
3 + 11 = 14
14 + 1975 = 1989
1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 27
2 + 7 = 9
Once you have your digit, you have your Personal Number. Below is a basic guide to personality traits relating to each number from 1-9.
1: The Leader
Ambitious and original, these are innovators whose positives include enthusiasm and drive. Negatives include selfishness and the tendency to bowl people over in pursuit of their goals.
2: The Idealist
Fixers by birth, those with this number are peacemakers who seek to right wrongs and to create balance. Faced with obstacles, 2s can become pessimistic and thwart any ability to make progress.
3: The Artist
Creative and expressive, 3s live to the fullest and experience many highs and lows. Fun to be around, they are optimistic (sometimes overly so), mercurial, and sometimes escapist as well as occasionally intolerant of others.
4: The Planner
Gifted in practical matters, 4s have the ability to make things happen. They are willing to work to get things done, but as a result can be stubborn and often lack the tact it takes to deal with people's feelings because they exist in a world of thoughts.
5: The Adventurer
Freedom-loving by nature, 5s are dominated by the desire for thrills. As a result, they're trail-blazers and risk-takers who can get restless and self-indulgent when they feel fenced in.
6: The Nurturer
Numerology's mother (or father, as it were), people born with the personal number 6 are responsible caretakers who are known to offer advice and support. A tendency to become overwhelmed and be too hard on people (namely themselves) comes as part of the package.
7: The Thinker
Sometimes isolationist, these intellectuals are charming despite not being very social. Blessed with extraordinary intuition, trouble arises when selfishness sets in and they stop taking life seriously.
8: The Manager
Here to direct and organize others, 8s are practical, steady and hardworking with honest intentions. However, enthusiasm often falls by the wayside in favor of accomplishment, and the negative aspects -- becoming dictatorial, cold, and materialistic -- can be dominant.
9: The Humanitarian
With a commanding presence and the ability to make friends easily, 9s are natural philosophers. Magnetic and generous -- sometimes to a fault -- by nature, they feel things deeply and may struggle with the selfless nature of their purpose.

Kate Moss Believes Her House Is Haunted By Evil Energy
Kate Moss hired a professional exorcist during the summer months to cleanse her house.
The supermodel - who lives in a plush area of north London with her rocker lover Jamie Hince and her seven-year-old daughter Lila Grace - hired a shaman to rid her home of "evil energy" following a long run of bad luck at the property in recent months.
A source revealed to The Sun newspaper: "Jamie is a believer in the supernatural and has persuaded her there is a bad energy in the house which needs to be removed by a shaman priest.
"She has found one who will perform a ceremony to cleanse the place."
In May, Kate had an original Banksy painting - believed to be worth £80,000 - stolen by burglars while The Kills frontman Jamie and her mother Linda were sleeping.
To make matters worse, just days later £100,000 worth of damage was caused when the property was flooded with sewage.
A source revealed at the time: "Trouble started following heavy rains at the beginning of May and culminated in her basement flooding and the pump system clogging up. The house is a complete disaster zone, with mud, gunge and sewage everywhere."

The M6 Britain's Most Haunted Road
For the first time since ghost-hunting became an organised science, Britain's spooks and apparitions have made a motorway their favourite road to haunt.
After years of weird goings-on in lonely lanes or moorland crossings, the M6 has recorded more alleged sightings and spine-tingling feelings than any other route in the country. Roman soldiers, a distraught woman hitchhiker and a phantom lorry going the wrong way have all appeared on the six busy lanes - or out of their users' imaginations.
"We assumed Britain's spookiest road would turn out to be a dark lane near an ancient battlefield," said Tony Simmons, sightings coordinator for 2006 survey by Tarmac. "But, when you think about it, these findings make sense. The M6 is one of Britain's longest roads and it travels through many counties - and therefore an immense amount of history." The eerie encounters have been recorded by a hospital consultant, lorry drivers and the hauntings expert Paul Devereux, who used a Geiger counter to test radiation levels at sites of repeated reports. Spooks, or conditions which lead 45% of all drivers to think they have seen them, occur throughout the route's 230 miles from Carlisle to Rugby.
"It's interesting that we've had more really clear sightings reported from the M6 than any other road," said Mr Simmons, whose monitoring was organised by the roadbuilding company Tarmac. The survey's results also include more traditional scenes of hauntings such as the A9 in the Highlands of Scotland, where a stagecoach with bewigged footmen has appeared to a succession of drivers. Other reports include eyes peeping out of bushes at the site of a colliery disaster in Leigh, Greater Manchester. Most of the phenomena seem benign, but several roads have a reputation for figures which appear to run into the path of traffic.
The motorway hauntings are expected to grow, according to experts like Mr Devereux, who recorded his own encounter with a phantom pick-up truck on the M6 in Fortean Times, the journal of strange phenomena. The new M6 toll section in the Midlands has already attracted a Roman cohort. Sue Cowley, from Coleshill, Warwickshire, told the survey of seeing about 20 soldiers "more like upright shadows than men walking through the tarmac as you would through water."
Top 10 haunts
1 The M6. Multiple hauntings
2 The A9 in the Highlands. Weird coach
3 Platt Lane, Leigh, Manchester. Gleaming eyes
4 High Street and Suffield Road, Great Yarmouth. Phantom dog
5 Gloucester Drive, Finsbury Park, north London. Ghostly kids
6 The B4293 at Devauden, Wales. Angelic voices
7 The B3314 near Tintagel, Cornwall. Victorian woman
8 Loch Dornoch, Highlands. Eerie horseman
9 The B1403 near Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Lone soldier
10 Drews Lane, Ward End, Birmingham. Sound of invisible cars

Famous People Who've Seen Ghosts
Plenty of ordinary people claim to have encounters with ghosts everyday. And while most people love seeing their favourite celebrities star in supernatural films, very rarely do those stars talk about their own personal experiences with the paranormal. At the beginning of the year on an episode of the American series Ghost Hunters, musician/actor Meatloaf accompanied the TAPS team on a ghost hunting expedition in upstate New York. He admitted that Ghost Hunters was one of his favourite programmes; and he seemed eager to investigate. However, other celebrities have been less than enthusiastic about their brushes with "the other world." Here are some celebs who have had revealed their personal encounters.
Halle Berry claims that while working on the Dorothy Dandridge movie, she was graced with Dorothy's presence. From another room in her home, she admits to hearing the plastic being rustled on a dress that once belonged to the legendary actress.
In the 1970's actor, Donald Pleasance (1919-1995) and his wife bought a home in England that was huge—large enough to be broken into two properties. On moving in, they heard thumping noises that he said sounded like running children. The couple eventually broke down the walls that separated the properties, and let the "ghost children" run free. They then became more comfortable with the entities living there.
Julianna Margulies once reported that as a child, she and her sister contacted "something" with a Ouija board. She admits that she no longer uses them, and claims to believe in ghosts.
Roger Moore (of James Bond) confesses that he once saw a "misty substance" floating across the bed. He was apparently awakened at 2a.m. on two consecutive nights. He said the experience "petrified" him. His hired help advised him to leave a Bible open to the 23rd Psalm on his bed stand. He did so, and was never bothered again by the vision.
Even heart throb actor Matthew McConaughey of The Wedding Planner and How To Lose a Guy in 10 days fame The Wedding Planner, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, admits to having visits from "Madame Blue"--a ghost that frequented one of his properties.

The Key To The Tarot
The tarot cards have much to tell you. To find out how they work shuffle the pack. Now divide the pack into three piles, and arrange them in a row. Take the top card from the centre of the pile. This is your guide card. Look at it for a moment and put it where, from time to time you can glance at it as you read through these introductory notes.
THE 78 CARDS IN THE PACK
THE MAJOR ARCANA
The first 22 cards – each with its own name, and numbered 0 -21 – are called the Major Arcana. The word Arcana means secrets, or mysterious knowledge. The secrets are held in the images drawn on the cards. Although each one has a traditional interpretation, these images also stimulate the intuitive, creative side of your mind.
If the guide card you have chose is a Major Arcana card, then its initial meaning is that you life is going to be changed by outside events, major challenges, big opportunities.
THE MINOR ARCANA
The next 56 cards are called the Minor Arcana. This does not mean they are less important; but they do work in a different way The Minor Arcana is divided into four suits. Each suit has four court cards, knights, princes, Queen and King. If you have drawn one of these court cars, then the person you know, or will soon meet, who most resembles the figure on your card, hold the key to your present and your future.
Each suit has ten cards, numbered one (or ace) to ten, if you have drawn one of these cards, then you are the prime mover, the one who can really influence events.
WHERE DID THE TAROT BEGIN?
The images on the tarot, and the interest in predicting events through symbols, date back to Ancient Egypt and even older civilizations, right across the world. Tarot may have travelled to Europe from the Middle East at the time from the Crusades, in the 12th century. The earliest surviving cards are Italian, from the 15th century
CAN TAROT PREDICT THE FUTURE?
It looks like physics is proving what psychics have always believed – that time is just another dimension – that can be crossed. So the future is already there, and is accessible to you. But the tarot does not dictate the future. Instead it is an adviser, showing how your past, present and future all work.

TO MEET YOUR ANGEL
- Sit or lie comfortably
- Breathe slightly more deeply than usual, relaxing on the outbreath until your whole body feels calm
- Invite your guardian angel to come close. Feel its gentle wings enfold you and relax you into safety.
- Ask your guardian angel its name. If nothing comes to mind don’t worry
- Enfolded in the love and security of your guardian angel, become aware of other angels around you and much love each has for you.
- Breathe in all the love available to you. Remind yourself you deserve to be loved

Leo Men The Bad Boys of The Zodiac
Celeb Kings of the Jungle
Whether they are naughty in real life or portray a villain onscreen, Leo bad boys are hard to resist. As a Fire sign ruled by the Sun, they light up a room with their charisma and entice us with their passion. But when a lion turns temperamental, demanding or wilful, they can be just as fascinating. Let's take a look at the charts of singer Mick Jagger and actor/directors Robert De Niro and Sean Penn to discover the secrets of Leo bad boys.
Mick Jagger
The term "sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll" was made for this legendary Rolling Stone. Born on July 26, 1943, he's a force of nature. He's got Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto conjunct in Leo, the sign of creativity, performance, and willpower. This intense focus assures that Jagger possesses both the positive and negative traits of his sign.
On the plus side, he's manifested his creativity on a massive scale. He formed The Rolling Stones while in his late teens and he's still going strong at 67. And since Leo is the sign of leadership, he's the perfect front man for the group.
On the downside, Leo can be the quintessential playboy who never grows up. Jagger has seven children by four women. His first wife, Bianca Jagger, filed for divorce on the grounds of adultery. Later, he sired a child with Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez while he was involved with former supermodel Jerry Hall, with whom he has four children. It's a good thing for Jagger that Leos are usually loving and supportive parents. Still, a rebellious streak from Uranus conjunct the ascendant in Gemini -- where he gets his manic energy onstage -- assures that this rock star will never lead an ordinary life.
Robert De Niro
The memorable tough-guy line, "You talkin' to me?" from Taxi Driver is a taste of De Niro's genius for portraying thugs. Born just three weeks after Jagger, on August 17, 1943, De Niro shares some of the same astrological influences, such as Sun, Jupiter and Pluto in Leo (De Niro doesn't have Jagger's Sun-Pluto conjunction, though, which decreases the wilfulness).
One of De Niro's best alpha male performances is as boxer Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull, which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor. De Niro undoubtedly accessed his dark side to portray a character consumed by rage and jealousy. Other tough-guy roles include the young Vito Corleone in The Godfather Part II, a thug in Mean Streets, a Vietnam veteran in The Deer Hunter and a mobster in Goodfellas.
Still, De Niro also has Leo's playful side, which is evident in his comedic performance in Meet the Parents. And he combined his bad-boyishness with humor in Analyze This, where he plays a Mafioso in therapy.
In contrast with his villainous characters, De Niro's real life seems relatively normal. He's on his second marriage as of 1997. An Earth emphasis that includes Venus and Mercury in Virgo and Mars in Taurus indicates he needs stability in his personal life. More importantly, Moon in Pisces reveals he's actually a softie at heart.
Sean Penn
Born on August 17 1960, Penn has Sun conjunct Uranus in Leo, which makes him unusually wilful, even for a Leo. He rebels against constraints of any kind. He also has an explosive temper, which the paparazzi can attest to. In 1987, during his marriage to pop star Madonna, he served 33 days in jail for assaulting a photographer.
Still, having a strong Uranus heightens Penn's inventiveness as an actor and director. What's more, because it's such an unconventional influence, it helped him win an Academy Award for Best Actor in Milk, as gay rights activist and politician Harvey Milk. It was the perfect role for Penn, who relates to the outcasts, rebels and downtrodden of society. This Uranian energy is also responsible for his dedication as an activist.
In romance, Venus conjunct Pluto in Virgo indicates a love life filled with the highest highs and the lowest lows. After his marriage to the material girl ended in 1989, Penn became involved with actress Robin Wright, whom he married in 1996. After several separations over the years, the marriage ended last year.
Leo men whether they're naughty or nice, captivate our hearts with their passion, creativity and courage

Britain's Top Ten Most Haunted Locations
Here's a list of what are considered to be Britain's most haunted locations. Definately not for the faint hearted to visit! Happy spook hunting.
1. Highgate Cemetery, London
By night, Highgate Cemetery is like something out of a horror movie. Eerie crooked gravestones, headless angles covered in ivy, dark overgrown passages between the tombs, it's no wonder this is Britain's number one ghost spot. Despite its chilling atmosphere, by day Highgate Cemetery showcases some of the Britain's most spectacular Gothic architecture, offers fascinating guided tours and is also the burial place of Karl Marx.
2. Borley Rectory, Essex
The stories of Borley Rectory mainly come from the work of famous 18th-century ghost hunter, Harry Price. Price got involved in a case at the rectory after a newspaper ran a story about a phantom nun in 1929. His investigations led to the rectory being named 'The Most Haunted House in England'. The building was destroyed by a fire in 1939, but this has done nothing to dispel stories of spooky happenings, or deter ghost hunters from visiting the site.
3. Pendle Hill, Lancashire
The area known as Pendle Witch Country in the Lancashire Pennines is dominated by the dark brooding mass of Pendle Hill. Nearby is the site of Britain's most famous (and most grim) witch trial – the case of the 'Witches of Pendle'. In 1612 ten so-called witches were hanged at Lancaster Castle and they are said to still haunt the local area. The hill itself has even featured on Living TV's Most Haunted.
4. Red Lion, Avebury, Wiltshire
Pubs in Britain are often said to be haunted. This might be because they are often in ancient buildings, or it could just be that ghosts like a pint as much as the rest of us. The 400-year-old Red Lion Inn in Wiltshire is one Britain's most haunted pubs and is actually situated inside Avebury Stone Circle – the largest stone circle in Europe and a World Heritage Site. The pub is never short of weird shadows, orbs or light, ghostly figures, sudden cold spots and unexplained noises in the night... should you dare to stay over.
5. Ancient Ram Inn, Wotten-under-Edge, Gloucestershire
Whether you believe in ghosts or not, a trip to the Ancient Ram Inn is an unsettling experience. Its creaky floorboards, cold bare walls, musty smells and dimly lit nooks and crannies epitomise everything a haunted house should be. And the stories attached to this creepy building are not for the fainthearted: Murder, satanism and child sacrifice are just a few of the dark deeds said to have occurred here, oh and did we mention apparently it's built on a pagan burial ground?
6. Glamis Castle, Angus, Scotland
The spires, turrets, towers and statues seize your attention immediately. Glamis Castle is one of Scotland's most impressive castles, but not just for the amazing architecture and 600 years of royal history. Glamis is also one of Scotland's most haunted castles. Among the many spirits said to inhabit the place is the ghost of the Monster of Glamis – a hideously deformed child who was kept locked up in a hidden room his entire life.
7. Tower of London, London
Not only is the Tower of London a World Heritage Site and one of the capital's favourite attractions, it's also home to many inhabitants of the undead variety. Which is no surprise really when you consider the number of beheadings, hangings and tortures that have gone on there. Some of the most-sighted ghouls include the Princes in the Tower, allegedly murdered by their uncle Richard III, Anne Boleyn and the White Lady, who apparently brings a strange perfume smell with her on her hauntings. Click here to watch video about the man ghost of the Tower of London.
8. Culloden Moor, near Inverness
On the 16 April 1746 the last-ever battle to take place on British soil was fought on Culloden Moor. Here the Jacobite rebellion, vastly outnumbered, was massacred there on the moor. And as you might think, any battle as bloody as this is bound to leave a few tormented souls. Legend has it that every year on the battle's anniversary, war-cries can still be heard as the warriors battle on in the after world.
9. Llancaiach Fawr Manor, near Caerphilly
The peaceful, rural setting of Llancaiach Fawr Manor gives no clue to the turmoil of its history and the bloody civil war that was fought there. And these great battles have left no shortage of spectres wondering around the manor. In fact, strange things have been experienced in almost every room, along corridors and on stairs. Things seen, heard or felt, or sometimes odours in the air of violets or lavender - and on some occasions, roast beef!
10. Berry Pomeroy Castle, near Totness, Devon
The 14th-century Berry Pomeroy Castle has two famous female ghosts; the White Lady and the Blue Lady. According to legend the White Lady is the spirit of Margaret Pomeroy, who starved to death while imprisoned in the dungeons by her jealous sister. Apparently she haunts the dark dungeons and rises from St Margaret's Tower to the castle walls. The Blue Lady is not confined to specific areas and is supposed to lure people into hidden parts of the ruin. Apparently it's a very bad idea to follow her!

Pete Doherty: My House Is Haunted By Partying Ghosts!
He's more used to hosting parties that never seem to end than being kept awake at night by partying ghosts!
But wildman of rock Pete Doherty reckons he's heard ghosts living it up in one end of his rented country retreat.
The Babyshambles frontman has been living at the 250-year-old property, Sturmy House, for over a year.
He said: 'My house is definitely haunted. All of a sudden you hear a mad party going on in the west wing.
'It used to be the servants’ quarters, which is creepy. When I hear it I just hide.
'It’s uncomfortable but I think if I don’t bother them, they won’t bother me. Half the time I’m in my own world anyway.'
The nine-bedroomed red brick house in Wiltshire is owned by the Earl of Cardigan, but Doherty has made the home his own.
The self-confessed drug addict has been taking time away from the limelight in recent months to gain some 'peace and quiet' in the Wiltshire countryside but it seems the resident spooks have other ideas.

Star Trek Captain Sees Ghost On Stage
Patrick Stewart famous for his role as the capable, Captain Jean- Luc Picard, in Star Trek the Next Generation, says that he saw a ghost in what is said to be one of Britain's most haunted theatres.
He saw the apparition while performing recently in Waiting for Godot with Sir Ian McKellen.
Stage hands believe he saw the ghost of John Baldwin Buckstone, who was actor-manager of the Theatre Royal Haymarket in the mid 19th century and a friend of Charles Dickens.
When coming offstage for the interval, Stewart told his co-star that he saw a man standing in the wings wearing what looked like a beige coat and twill trousers.
Sir Ian asked him: "What happened, what threw you?"
"I just saw a ghost. On stage, during Act One," Stewart replied.
The episode was related in a documentary about the Theatre Royal Haymarket, produced by television channel Sky Arts.
But, it appears cameramen failed to capture images of the ghost itself.
Buckstone had a long association with the Theatre Royal, first as a comic actor, then as a playwright and finally as its actor-manager from 1853 to 1877, during which time it put on some 200 productions. The house became the leading comic theatre of the day.
He did not die in the building, passing away peacefully at home in Sydenham, Kent, after a long illness in 1879 aged 77. But theatre lore professes that he nevertheless haunts the place to the present day.
Nigel Everett, a director of the theatre, said: "Patrick told us all about it. He was stunned. I would not say frightened, but I would say impressed."
Appearances of Buckstone were not that frequent, Mr Everett said, with the last being by a stage hand about three or four years ago.
He added: "The last time an actor saw him would have been I think Fiona Fullerton, playing in an Oscar Wilde, 10 or 12 years ago.
"The ghost tends to appear when a comedy is playing."
While he said he did not consider Waiting for Godot to be a comedy, he thought their production did have comic aspects.
"I think Buckstone appears when he appreciates things," he added. "We view it as a positive thing."

Joanna's Absolutely Haunted House
When “national treasure”, Joanna Lumley first saw the beautiful 18th century Parsonage, she felt sure it was the home for her.
But a series of supernatural events changed her mind after she and her husband moved in.
The 63-year-old actress who recently hit the headlines for her successful campaign for the Gurkas right to UK residency, claims that during her three years at the house in Goodnestone, near Dover, she became convinced it was haunted after a series of extraordinary goings-on.
It began on the day she moved in when she was in the dimly-lit cellar and met what she assumed was an 'ancient' removal man. He thrust his face close to hers and growled to her: "Leave this place."
"He wore an old leather jerkin, the type that coalmen have, and a whitish shirt and a flat cap," she said.
"I couldn't see him very clearly by the dim light of the single bulb hanging on its stem."
Miss Lumley decided to report the man to his employers and pursued him upstairs but he had vanished.
"When I got up to the front drive where the removal lorry was parked there was no man dressed in that way, no man in a cap."
The star who shot to fame in the TV series Absolutely Fabulous says she became increasingly distressed when she discovered lights turning themselves on and off, footsteps but no people, a freshly-dug grave that disappeared overnight, and gusts of coolness even on hot days.
She had a sense of being 'watched' and of someone "waiting for me to leave".
Then she discovered that MR James, the writer of ghost stories, had been born in the house in 1862. "I think the house had some effect on him," she said.
"Houses, like people, have their own characters and the impact of the character of the Parsonage was undeniable - thrilling but turbulent."
Miss Lumley viewed the house with husband Stephen Barlow, the opera director and conductor, on the day after the great storm in October 1987.
"We experienced many strangenesses," she wrote in her memoirs, No Room For Secrets.
"Lights that turned themselves on in the attic no matter how often we turned them off; footsteps across the big spare room when we had friends to lunch in the kitchen below.
Lights turned themselves on
"They all heard them but when Stephen went to look there was no one there.
"My watch vanished from the bedroom and was found in the wastepaper basket in the other end of the house."
She also discovered a secret tunnel led from the cellar to the nearby graveyard.
Miss Lumley, who in 1986 played the ghost Elvira in a West End production of Noel Coward's play Blithe Spirit, adds: "Once on a freezing night I was woken up by moonlight.
"I got out of bed and stood at the window, looking down on the rough grass below the soft tennis court, and saw a freshlydug grave. The earth was heaped up by the side ... there was no mistaking what it was. The next day it was gone."
As the actress sat alone one night, watching television, she claims a man in a white shirt passed the window in the darkness. She later realised the window was too high above the ground for anyone to walk past.
Chill
On other occasions a chill would descend. "Coldness would suddenly occur in the middle of a sunny day. Once the kitchen seemed to be filled with a great chilly darkness so I couldn't even see across the room.
"I could sense someone waiting or watching, hidden in the silence of empty stairs and landings, waiting for me to leave."
It finally became too much and she persuaded her husband they should sell up. But even then she was not left in peace.
When a family came to view the property she led them into the 'normally immaculate and cool' larder to find it "screaming with a cloud of bluebottles".
Miss Lumley says the family hurried out of the house and she returned to the larder with a dustpan and brush only to discover there was not a single fly.
"I went downstairs to the cellar and stood amongst the wood and coal and said very loudly, 'We're leaving.' At once the most delicious scent of roses filled the dark rooms, so thick and strong I almost fainted."
Miss Lumley is convinced it was delivered by the 'removal man' as a reward for leaving. "He gave me the scent of a thousand roses to thank me."
She now lives with her husband in a five-storey Victorian mansion in South London.
The current owner of the Parsonage, says they have suffered no problems.
She said: "Disappointingly things have not gone bump in the night. But the village gossip was all about ghosts. Maybe they liked Joanna more than us."

Keanu Sees Dead People
In an eerie echo of the movie The Sixth Sense, Keanu Reeves says he can 'see dead people'.
The Hollywood star revealed his ghostly experiences in an interview in 2005 following the making of his supernatural thriller, Constantine.
In the blockbuster film the heartthrob actor plays a modern day exorcist.
Keanu said that he has seen ghosts on at least two occasions.
Once, he was lunching with a friend in Austin, Texas, looked round and saw a ghost appear behind him.
He recalled: 'I said: 'Did you see that?' And she said: 'Yes.' 'But that was different from when I was five. I was sitting on my bed, my sister was asleep and our nanny was there - and through the doorway came this white double-breasted suit.
'No body and no legs - just a suit. And then it disappeared.'
He doesn't regard the experiences as special, saying: 'I've known many people who have seen ghosts and told ghost stories.'
That may be why he was so comfortable taking on the role of exorcist John Constantine in his the spooky film, based on the cult comic book series Hellblazer. Even though he is dying, Constantine investigates supernatural mysteries and battles the forces of Satan.
He starred with half-Scottish Bush singer Gavin Rossdale and Rachel Weisz, who played a psychic police detective trying to discover the truth behind her sister's death.
It's a dark tale Keanu wanted to bring to the screen for years.
He was initially approached about making this movie when he was in the middle of The Matrix trilogy.
But in some parts of the world it appears that Constantine is too hot to handle. The film has been banned in Brunei because of the way it depicts God and Satan.
Keanu, though, had no qualms over controversial material. 'I relate to John Constantine,' he says.
'I love his humour. He's dying and he gives the finger to the Devil. I also liked his anger. I could relate to that. It reminded me of school.'
Keanu - his name is Hawaiian and means 'cool breeze over mountains' - left home in Toronto for Hollywood when he was only 20.
His role as supercool hero Neo in The Matrix movies made him one of Tinseltown's top earners, worth well over $200million.

Pop Star Robbie Williams Haunted by Ghost of Henry VIII wife
Flamboyant pop singer Robbie Williams says the £7 million mansion he shares with his girlfriend Ayda Field is inhabited by the spirit of Catherine Parr, the sixth and final spouse of infamous womaniser and Tudor King, Henry VIII.
But while he often "feels the presence" of Catherine – who once lived on the estate in Wiltshire, South West England – the 35-year-old singer says he’s never frightened.
He said: "I think there are ghosts. I haven't seen or heard anything. I've definitely felt something but it's not scary. I'm very, very pleased to say.
"It's Catherine's Parr's old house. In fact, we're actually not in the old house, we're in her barn."
Robbie and Ayda moved from Los Angeles to Britain earlier this year to prepare for his musical comeback.
The former Take That front-man is enjoying his new lifestyle, but admits he wouldn't have ever imagined himself living in the countryside a few years ago.
Robbie said: "I can't even believe that a 35-year old me has bought a 500-year-old place. Because at 26 or 27 there's no way that I would have chosen to be there or go anywhere near it.
"But it's lovely and the people have been great with us."
It's not the first time Robbie's house has been linked to paranormal activity.
The star reportedly purchased the property because it is crossed with 'ley lines' - invisible energy routes believed to attract aliens.

Feng Shui Love Tips
Looking for a partner? Then these feng shui love tips could give your love life a boost.
Attracting a partner obviously needs some work on your part – he or she won’t come knocking if you’re just sitting at home every evening – but if you need some motivation and inspiration, these remedies will bring your intentions to the fore, which will subconsciously help to attract a mate.
These ideas all apply to the bedroom, as this is obviously the most conductive place for love and romance in a relationship. Try and introduce these elements.
Sand, earth, charcoal or two pebbles
Two rose quartz crystals
Two terracotta pots or vases with yellow flowers or two yellow/peach roses.
Light two candles each evening; red for passion, peach for romance and yellow for communication.
Hang a picture of two people in love, if possible where you can see it while you are lying in bed.
Ornaments of birds/animals that mate for life i.e. swans
Some downward lighting (or candles) as this grounds, stablises and introduce an intimate setting.
Some luxury, eg beautiful cushions, a ‘throw’ for the end of the bed, a soft rug.
Avoid
Photographs of family, friends and pets
Pictures of one person
Storing electrical items or clutter under the bed
A heavy light fitting over the bed
Leaving cupboard doors open to display contents – often untidy
Before you place any of the enhancements, the area needs to be physically cleaned. When ready, give yourself time to think about why you are putting the remedies there, one at a time, then enjoy each of them.
