The dew that gathers on Midsummer's Eve is said to have magical properties.
It's even believed to heal the sick and make the blind see!
Decant drops of dew into a bottle and mix in a couple of drops of rosemary esential oil. Add to baths when you want to feel strong, or spinkle around your home for protection.

Horror films aren't the only way to produce spine-tingling chills - actually visiting an eerie location or spooky destination rates high on some travellers’ lists. So, if you are keen to be a supernatural traveller and find out about locations that are shrouded in myths of the undead, read on for seven of the world’s spookiest locations:
Catacombs of the Capuchins – Palermo, Sicily
Whilst Paris is famed for its Catacombs or the Empire of the Dead - where, due to overcrowding and disease in cemeteries in the late 1770s, bodies were transferred to the subterranean tunnels of the city. Skeletons were stacked along the walls and labelled with the year they died. But the Catacombs of the Capuchins really beats Paris on the creepy scale - imagine 8,000 mummified bodies, fully dressed and arranged in poses. And this is no medieval practice - the last addition to the macabre display was in 1920.
Salem – Massachusetts, USA
This American East Coast city has a bewitching history, being the site of the Salem Witchcraft Trials of 1692. During the trials 19 men and women were convicted of witchcraft and taken to Gallows Hill for hanging. Gallows Hill might be the spookiest of Salem's locations but the original witches’ hanging tree does not exist anymore, and the deep crevasse where the dead bodies were thrown has closed in upon itself. But you can still satisfy your spine-tingling search in the Salem Witch Museum, the Witch Dungeon Museum and a Wax Museum of Witches and Seafarers.
Mary King's Close – Edinburgh, Scotland
Mary King's Close is located underneath the City Chambers on the Royal Mile and is one of the least visited and eeriest areas of Scotland's capital. The close is actually a narrow cobbled street which was sealed off in a bid to stop the spread of the plague in 1645. And we really are talking sealed off - some families are thought to have been bricked up in their homes and left to starve to death. The area was re-opened but you can imagine it wasn't a location that was top of people’s places-to-live list. There have been numerous spooky occurrences thought to be related to the souls of the trapped victims.
Centralia Town – Pennsylvania, USA
Centralia is a real 'modern' ghost town with its population dwindling from over 1,000 residents in 1981 to a mere seven in 2010. It's all due to the fact that the town was abandoned after a fire started burning right under it. The local authorities ignited a landfill just atop an unsealed coal-mine and thus the fire spread underground. Now Centralia is one of America's most popular ghost towns, complete with smoking cracks in the roads, the occasional explosions and disturbing silence. Just what you'd expect a town to look like after a nuclear attack.
Church of Bones - Kutna Hora, Czech Republic
From outside, the Sedlec Ossuary or Church of Bones is not a spectacularly spooky site; to the passerby it perhaps would be seen as just another medieval gothic church. But it's what lies within that ups its scary stakes; on entering you'll see the Sedlec Ossuary is artistically decorated by more than 40,000 human skeletons. One of the most fascinating artistic works is the big chandelier of bones in the centre.
Bhangarh Fort – Rajasthan, India
Famed as the most haunted place in India, Bhangarh Fort sports an after-sunset curfew with the Indian Government strictly prohibiting people from staying in the area after dark. The story goes that a black magic tantrik cursed the fort by proclaiming that anyone who died there would be trapped in the palace without the possibility of rebirth. It is said that nobody returns from this place after dark. Many locals and visitors claim that they have witnessed paranormal activities - like sounds of music and dancing and weird colour spots in photographs of chambers.
Manila Film Centre – Manilla, Philippines
Another modern-day spooky site, the eerie history of the Manila Film Centre goes back just to the 1980s. The story goes that construction teams were under pressure to complete the building in time for a film festival. Tragically, an untimely accident claimed the lives of several construction workers. However, rather than halting the work to give the workers a proper burial, the contractors allegedly poured concrete over the remains in order to keep on schedule. Since then, visitors have reported hearing strange voices throughout the Film Centre.

Whilst most people read books and use meditation as a way to channel their inner psyche, pop singer/songwriter and rapper Ke$ha has revealed that she wears her own placenta as a necklace to improve her psychic ability.
The twenty four-year-old ‘Blow’ singer was given the unusual jewellery as a gift from her mother and believes that wearing placenta gives you a ‘second sight’.
She said: "My favourite keepsake is my placenta. My mom found it in my basement, crushed it up, and made into a necklace that I wear every day to improve my psychic abilities".
Whilst the controversial star is well-known for her wacky personality and out-there lyrics this still comes as a shock to fans. She is also a strong believer in past lives and other worldly beings.
She said: "I'm into energy. I recently went to see a past-life regressionist, who is also a psychic. I feel like I've had many lifetimes before."
Though placenta is used in some Chinese medicines and various health products, it is not usually considered a way to improve on your psychic power. Weird!

Yesterday marked the end of an era, when the last original episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show was broadcast following a highly successful 25-year run.
Queen of chat show hosts Oprah has already launched her own new television network, OWN, but it's unlikely to be the only venture the Queen of Daytime has lined up. So what else is coming up for Oprah in the next year?
Winfrey is an Aquarius, the sign of the innovator and humanitarian. This blesses her with an innate ability to reach out to people in creative ways -- and this special trait has ensured her incredible success., and it won't change. But while her loyal fans will miss her, the transition for her will be tougher and slower than one might expect. With her Sagittarius Rising, Saturn, the planet of discipline, will be in her mid-heaven (the point of one's chart that indicates their ultimate fulfillment) and slow down her progress. Plus, Saturn won't be moving out of this area until Oct. 5, 2012 -- which indicates that it will take until then for her fledgling new network to the level Oprah would like. Until then, Oprah will be focusing on her aspirations (she's talked about a stint on Broadway) and carving out a solid foundation from which she will make bigger success happen. And we know she will -- she after all Oprah!

Alternative practitioners have been busy in recent times finding new ways of working with the mind, body and spirit. And many have simply been adding intuition or psychic ability to approaches that have been around for centuries. As a result, an increasing number of therapies today have a strong spiritual base. Here’s the top five to look out for:
Future Life Progression
By using a light meditative state, Future Life Progressionists say that they can work with clients to help them effectively move through the quantum soup as far ahead into their own future as they need to see the ultimate outcome of their current course of action. Based on the notion that our future is not set in stone, clients can then decide to change their course of action in the present – and therefore alter their future – or look back from where they want to be and refine their route to get there.
Theta Healing
Neuroscientists have identified a number of different frequencies or patterns that our brains emit. Theta waves are produced when you are deeply relaxed and when you’re dreaming. You can evoke this Theta state through meditation to enhance creativity, but Theta Healing Practitioner claim that they are able to work with clients to access the same state and alter their beliefs and thoughts, which in turn ripples out to create change across all areas of life.
Shamanic Healing
Shamanic healing has been around for thousands of years. Across the world, many shamans use the healing properties of plants in treatment, but healing work is often done through a process called journeying. Unlike other forms of treatment, it is the practitioner who enters an altered state and journeys on behalf of the client to effect healing. Many approaches and techniques are used. For example, in a Soul Retrieval, Shamanic Practitioners say that they can coax back parts of a soul fragmented by trauma to restore a revived sense of wholeness in the client.
Intuitive Life Coaching
Life Coaching is said to focus on helping clients work out what they want and then arrive at strategies to achieve desired goals. Intuitive Life Coaches say that they combine psychic or intuitive abilities with Life Coaching techniques to add an extra edge to the work, helping clients make effective changes and achieve desired goals.
Intuitive Astrology
Astrologers consult charts drawn up from a person’s time, place and date of birth to glean information about what influence the planets have had on their personality and the themes and events that are likely to play out in their life. An Intuitive Astrologer will add psychic perception to such information. Modern astrologers believe that people co-create their destinies and say that they work with clients to harness the energy of the planets to support them in achieving what they want in life.

TERRIFIED Brits are being spooked more than ever before. More than 11million of us have seen a ghost, more than three times the number reported in the 1950s.
Professor Richard Wiseman, author of new book Paranormality, reckons a rise in TV ghost-hunting shows and a decline in religious faith makes us much more likely to believe in ghouls.
Here we take a look at some of the numbers involved in paranormal activity...
1 in 10 of us think our house is haunted according to a recent study by a bank. Even glamour model Katie Price, alias Jordan, 32, once called in psychic Sally Morgan to investigate because she was convinced she had spooks in her home.
3
The number of times singer Robbie Williams, 37, has seen UFOs. He’s also seen ghosts since he was a child, spotting the spirit of an old woman at ex-Beatle Ringo Starr’s house in Los Angeles.
18
Percentage of men who say they have seen a ghost, compared with 31% of women.
30
Percentage of people in Yorkshire and Humber and the East Midlands who have seen a ghost. It’s the area of the country you are most likely to have had an encounter. London was the least spooked-out area of the country with just 20% spotting a spook.
46
Percentage of 18 to 24-year-olds who have seen a phantom. This is the most common age to have spotted a ghost according to a study by Sainsbury’s.
48
Percentage of us who have stumbled across spooky goings-on while driving. The M6 is Britain’s most haunted road, according to a study by Tarmac, and sightings on it include Roman soldiers, a distraught woman hitch-hiker and a phantom lorry.

Lady Gaga believes she is being haunted by an "annoying" ghost named Ryan.
The singer who has recently sparked outrage amongst the Catholic faithful with her song 'Judas' thinks she is being followed everywhere she tours across the world by the spectre, who has "terrified" her with his constant presence.
A member of her touring crew recently told the Daily Star: "She's been telling us all for months that she has a male spirit called Ryan who travels the world with her.
"She's pretty terrified by this spirit, but more than anything he's annoying her as he won't leave her alone.
"He's hasn't been doing anything too violent or scary but she's freaked out by his presence. She's a very spiritual person and in tune with the spiritual world but this is a step too far, even for her."
Although little is known about Ryan the ghost, or why he has chosen to haunt Gaga, a source close to the singer said that she held a seance last year while in Ireland for her 'Monster Ball Tour' , in an attempt to get through and see him off.
The source added: "She contacted a spirit medium and organised a seance so she could communicate with him and tell him to go away.
"She gathered all her friends over the weekend in Belfast, Ireland, and held the seance to find out what he wants. She's convinced she picked this up as a bad omen.
"Although most of her friends were sceptical they agreed to take part."
It has previously been revealed that Gaga, 25, has spent thousands of dollars on ghostbusters and splashed out $47,000 on state of the art Electro Magnetic Field meters to detect spectres.
A source previously revealed: "She believes in paranormal activity and won't take any risks when she is on the road. It's important to her to be safe from spirits."

Neve Campbell claims she's seen a ghost.
The Canadian actress who starred in the Scream film series which was a huge box office hit, says her former home in Los Angeles was haunted, and that she used to have frequent encounters with a woman who had been murdered in the property.
She told Live magazine: "I know that ghosts exist because I've seen one. A few years ago I moved into a haunted house in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, with some friends. It turned out that it was inhabited by the ghost of a woman who had been murdered there in 1991. Doors would repeatedly slam, windows would open and ashtrays would fly off dressers. Then there were times when the ghost would actually walk into the room. After a while it felt normal. I'd pass her in the hallway and casually wish her good morning."

"Residents report scratching at the front doors and windows, and hearing voices when there is no one there!"
Could the ghosts of former inmates of a Victorian lunatic asylum be haunting the residents of an exclusive housing estate, which was built on the site over a decade ago?
According to a local estate agent, ghosts have regularly been seen in several of the luxury homes at the Repton Park estate in Woodford Bridge, in Essex, even causing one young couple to move out of their flat on the very day they moved in.
Formerly the Claybury Hospital mental institution, it is believed the unwelcome visitors may be former patients who are visiting the buildings formerly used by the hospital.
The estate agent, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: "I know about a year ago a guy bought a whole block to turn it into flats to sell off.
"One day two cleaners were in the block working. As they were cleaning, one of the ladies thought she heard a man's voice calling her. She said she thought she must be going mad but then her daughter, the other cleaner, heard a similar voice.
"They had the door open at the time and they thought it was someone outside, but there was no-one else on the whole floor. From that day the daughter refused to clean at Repton Park on her own."
The estate agent said: "Last year a young couple heard voices calling them from inside their Repton Park flat and moved into a hotel on their first night as they were too frightened to stay there.
"They then went to a local priest and asked him to exorcise the flat before they moved back in."
And, it seems, the sightings are not rare.
Local minicab driver Jeff Todd said: "I have had two or three people in my cab telling me exactly the same story about the ground floor of the old building frequently being visited by ghosts.
"People have told me that they hear scratching at their front doors and windows. One person even went outside to see what it was and saw someone standing there and within seconds they had disappeared.
"Maybe it's the old patients of Claybury Hospital revisiting or maybe it's their visitors but there are lots of stories about this," he added.
The site includes around 50 acres of ancient woodland and 95 acres of open parkland, ponds, pasture and historic gardens. These were designed in 1789 by the landscape architect Sir Humphrey Repton for James Hatch, who was the owner of what was then called the Claybury Estate.
Building work started on the hospital in 1889 and it opened under the name of Claybury Asylum in 1893. It was the fifth London County Council asylum and the hospital stood on the site for almost a century, closing in 1996. An encyclopaedia entry for Ilford in 1911 says: "Claybury Hall is a lunatic asylum (1893) of the London County Council."
It was turned into a housing development in the late 1990s and now has an estimated value of £170m.

Many people as adults dream of being back at school and very often they are aware in the dream that they are actually too old to be there! So what does it mean?
Dreaming Lens: Ask yourself how do you feel about being back in this time period? Are you experiencing anxiety or nostalgia for days gone by? Are you experiencing yourself as noticed or invisible; stuck or safe? Are you with present-day friends, or your secondary/high school circle?
Personal Focus: The primary symbolic meaning for this image is deeply connected to your own personal experience of this period in your life. In a general sense, secondary/high school is where most of us learned life lessons of responsibility, sexual identity as well as where we built the foundation for the directions we would take as grownups. However, the overall experience of this turbulent time varies from person to person and can range from fun and joyous to extremely painful. When you dream of secondary school in a dream, your unconscious is expressing emotional issues (possibly unresolved) that have their root at this time in your history.
As a common dream, most people experience this related to performance anxiety. Secondary/high school represents the first time as individuals that most people are faced with a level of responsibility that is most like what we deal with in the adult world. When our current lives spark insecurity about our readiness to face life’s tests, we may express unconscious fears by returning unprepared to this time and suffer the humiliation of being lost, not knowing the schedule, not being ready for an exam, or even finding ourselves naked.
The lessons faced in adolescence were, for some, accompanied by mistakes being cleared up for us by parents or other authority figures. As such, this dream image could indicate an unconscious wish to have the burden of adult responsibilities magically disappear as if someone else could handle them for us.
If the dream is uncomfortable, look to present stressors that may feel burdensome in the same way you felt as a teenager. The pressure to perform at certain levels is a major theme of the secondary/high school experience. This may be revealing issues of performance anxiety in your current life and often the fear of facing the expectations that others may have of you. If you examine your current life for issues of this nature and you will be well on your way to understanding the personal meaning of this dream for you.

A new exercise plan? It's easy to invent isn't it? It’s fun imagining how you will make yourself feel more alive, and sharpen your brain power as well.
And you know it will boost your self-esteem as exercise makes your body look toned and supple ... You feel fitter already just thinking about it!
But the tough part's all in front of you. Starting out won't be your biggest hurdle. Sticking with it is a huge challenge. This is where most people stumble and fail.
However, picking a form of exercise that suits your astro-sign psyche can guarantee success. You'll know you're making the right moves because your exercises will feel right and you'll really enjoy them. Make sure you’re well supervised and they will become an invaluable part of your life.
Aries
Super-energetic, impatient and competitive, you just can't wait to get started - on any kind of open-air sport that pitches you headlong into heated action.
Your first love will always be football - and that applies whether you're a lady or a lad - but hockey, squash and badminton are also powerfully attractive activities for you.
You can be an excellent team player but you also get a big buzz from beating a single opponent (as in tennis singles and squash matches). You should aim high. Always try to hit the standard you might have achieved if you'd become a professional player (lots of Aries play sport professionally!) Join a club or association to take your game onwards and upwards, with a string of badges and cups to show off.
Vigorous exercise, at least once a day, is your best way of banishing those headaches that come from trying to stem your impatience and desire for action. You benefit from working up a real sweat and making your high adrenalin levels go to work for you.
And you like to use your local gym or sports club as the hub of your social life. It's where you're most likely to meet your love partner, too.
Taurus
Easygoing and slothful? Yes, but you have a strong, fit body and natural good health. To get the best out of life, that body needs to be stretched and pushed to its limits.
You're not competitive, but you feel angry with yourself if you allow your body to get out of shape. Your nervy, edgy moods are often the result of physical inactivity. Dancercise any overindulgence away.
Pick a stamina-building hobby that takes you out into the wildest parts of the countryside - climbing, caving or hiking. Blend your love of nature with developing your upper body – rowing or kayaking perhaps. Take up long distance to build that ideal Taurus inverted triangle torso shape.
You'll be happiest sharing outdoors activities with a love partner or close mate.
Weather bad? Shift into the gym. Working out with weights is your best indoor exercise. But try a modern movement class that blends into more acrobatic routines, too.
Singing in a choir or group will also keep you fit, expanding your lung power along with your social circle. You'll find singing in public addictive - you've a talent for it. Just don't overdo late, after-show eating.
Gemini
You talk yourself into starting a new physically active hobby - then drop it once the novelty's worn off (and muscles begin to ache). It's easy to spot Gemini at the leisure centre, gabbing to a pal in the pool's shallow end or rushing to answer their mobile, wrapped only in a towel.
To succeed, you need a regime that will tie your mind, not just your body, into the action. Routines that force you to slow down physically are what your frazzled brain craves.
Learn the evolved, intricate moves of an activity like T'ai-chi Ch'uan. It means 'wholeness' and it can give Geminis the mental challenge they need. It is much more than a workout - a combined life philosophy, dance drama and recipe for mental simplification.
By forcing you to think in a focused way, breathe correctly and move fluidly, it'll calm you and help you shape your day. It will improve the way you walk, sit and concentrate in your everyday life, too.
You need to expand your lung capacity, so singing, running, swimming and skateboarding will all suit you.
And if you combine your physical activity with 20 minutes' quiet meditating alone each day (early morning's your best time), you'll avoid tiredness.
Cancer
Your perfect exercise combines regular, smooth movement with helping other people. Learn to massage correctly, train as a sports physiotherapist or become an osteopath. You won't have to make time for exercise, but your work will keep you fit, supple and emotionally satisfied, too.
Prone to worry peaks and inactivity troughs, your moods often dictate how much activity you get. Schedule a regular monthly cycle of different exercises - and make sure friends keep you at it; it will help you get on top of your moods, which are often hormonally-led.
Music's important to your new regime and you will always find it inspires you to put more energy into your movements.
Access to water is also vital - whether you swim in it, shower in it or drink it. You will also benefit from having mirrors around you to gain a sense of space even in an artificial indoor setting. Walk or work by the sea. Crew on a boat for your holiday.
At home, DIY projects and any form of gardening will give you a life-long satisfaction and keep your cardiovascular health good.
You’ll only ever stick to an exercise routine that allows you to immerse your mind and moods into it with clockwork regularity.
Leo
Embrace a sport or physical pastime that lets you show off in front of others. Become a coach, not just a pupil, and practise till you're perfect.
Only the best will do for you - the most famous club, best equipment, highest standard. Win games, rounds, prizes and applause. It'll keep you coming back to that activity indefinitely and it will give you the athletic body shape your personality deserves.
And you're one of the few signs who, having signed up to an expensive club or invested in fitness equipment, has the willpower to get their money's worth.
Watch out for overuse skeletal injuries and especially guard against back and neck damage. Warm up well before any match or training.
Learn to horse-ride – show-jumping and cross-country appeal to your daring physicality and flair for control. Cycle or dance (to competition level). Or join an acting class. Fast walk your nervous aggression and work problems away on a treadmill.
Virgo
You're one of the few star signs that sticks to regular exercise - often as a penance, not a pleasure. Have more fun and ensure you pick activities that get you into the fresh air.
Wear your running shoes to get you to your allotment. You'll get a buzz out of designing an organic vegetable garden and improving your plot's soil will work every muscle in your body. And it will satisfy your desire for order and refinement, as well as fulfilling your quest for healthy natural produce.
Then expand your expertise and offer your services to others - you'll be so fit and it won't cost you a penny in class membership or equipment. Just make sure that you carry a couple of changes of dry (old) clothes with you and you'll be able to exercise in all weathers.
Hiking, rambling, or helping out at a big plant nursery would also give you lifelong exercise that kept you fascinated and fulfilled.
Libra
Being bossed by personal trainers and spor
ts instructors turns you off - you'd rather nibble chocolate gingers and watch a fitness video. With you, it's always tomorrow - so start your new regime with a friend or partner. They'll nag if you try to back out or let them down.
Let vanity be your biggest spur - pose in front of cruel mirrors that tell the truth about your back view.
Pick a sports centre where you can mix socially - after exercising.
Cycle, swim or ride to keep those Libra buttocks and thighs from turning to jelly. Concentrate on improving your style. Aim for prizes and certificates and pin them up - near the fridge.
Swimming underwater for alternate widths can recharge your mental batteries while you limber up your body - very important for air sign Libra.
Combine your love of animals with muscle-toning and volunteer to groom horses, train dogs - you could aim for sheepdog agility trials . Help disabled youngsters enjoy sport : you won't notice you're 'exercising'.
Scorpio
Don't even consider a physical activity that leaves your mind cold.
Get involved in an archaeological dig on a working holiday and you'll look as if you've spent a fortune on a personal trainer.
Make sure that your activity gives mental challenges as well as physical ones. Learn the basic skills of diving then swap the library for an underwater salvage op - treasures and mysteries on the sea-bed are the kind of mental jigsaws you love.
You love guessing games, so orienteering and realistic survival courses satisfy the thrill-seeker in you while making you as fit as a wild animal.
Make your holidays back-to-nature wilderness breaks and become an instructor to pass on your skills - you're a natural leader, although you can prefer to work alone and hate incompetence.
Water activities like pool volley ball are good tension releasers for Scorpio – they cool your passions and frustrations.
Sagittarius
Sport's in your blood and you probably ran through the A to Z of physical activities in your teens.
Problem is, many of your star sign turn chunky round the hips after a certain age. When that happens, you don’t want to revive your former sporting loves in public: 'If I can't do it as brilliantly as I used to, I'll leave it alone.' Big mistake - and you know it.
Look for activities that combine some of your former faves. Le Trek puts together your love of cross-country horse riding with long distance racing and orienteering skills - and it's a real fitness challenge.
No physical activity's a success for you unless you work up a healthy sweat (which is why your skin's usually so good and you seldom feel toxic).
And you don't have fitness fun unless there's a good social scene on tap, too. So stick with the madcap whirl of keep-fit draws that you think sound most fun - skiing, riding, surfing or assault course training.
Capricorn
You've amazing stamina and a teeth-gritted determination to see through any challenge to the end. But lighten up when choosing physical activities, or it will become more and more of a torture.
You need exercise that does not put long-term strain on joints and tendons - your knees are particularly vulnerable and, as you mean to live to a great old age, it would be a pity to wear them out prematurely.
You'll feel most at home with walking tours - you need to feel your feet on the earth and rocks and your soul soars in wild settings with no one around (just a few grizzlies and coyotes in the distance).
You thrive when you can link your quest for knowledge with improving practical skills; so pick study holidays with crafts or trade-skills lessons.
For dull winter evenings nearer to home, take up Latin American dance in order to limber up your body and knock away those stuffy, conventional thoughts that can make you gloomy. It's so sexy, too!
Aquarius
It’s vital for a party person like you to get outdoors more. But you skimp on exercise because it cuts into your sociaIising time. lt's no good going to the country if you never get out of the car!
You must be emotionally involved with all you do - so learn as much as you can about yoga from a teacher - and immerse yourself in the philosophy behind it. It conquer stress and you can use it for a whole range of ailments, from strains and sprains to asthma and circulation problems.
One of the biggest benefits of yoga movements (once you've limbered up and become more supple) is that they can be done anytime, anywhere. You won't need to readjust your day unduly - though you'll probably find it more fun to study and practice alongside other people.
You could also try pilates and judo. Take care though: you might become a born-again fitness freak and even decide to run your own club!
Pisces
Pisces do enough running around to last several lifetimes - usually on other people's behalf. If you do have a health or fitness problem, it won't be through lack of exercise but because you dive into platefuls of fat-soaked and sugar-saturated foods whenever the emotional going gets tough.
It's very important given your dramatic, excessive nature that you build up gradually to any new exercise plan.
You are inclined to rush headlong into keep-fit or sport - and retire hurt. You can't expect the superb fitness of an athlete or trained ballet dancer in the early weeks of a new regime. Stamina, strength and flexibility have to be worked at and worked up gradually.
Dance and dance-drama are the creative movements best suited to your temperament. You have a talent for fast dance steps - tap, Irish and Scottish dance - as well as ballroom. Perhaps you once wanted to do this for a career - and maybe there is still time ... Swim at least twice a week to unlock pent-up feelings and to build a healthy muscle ratio.

It's the oldest timber frame house in America, lived in for generations by the same family and lovingly kept just as it was in its early Colonial days.
But what the Fairbanks House lacks in modern facilities it seems to make for with ... strange spirits.
The house in Dedham, Massachusetts, was built between 1637 and 1641 by English settlers Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks.
Today the house is a museum, but it could very well one of the most haunted houses in America.
Justin Schlesinger, one of the museum directors whose ancestors built the property, said: 'There’s always been weird things happening in the house, from the doorbell going off a million times to flashlights never working.'
He added that there are sometimes footsteps heard on the stairs when no one is there. Also, a newly-installed alarm system went off every night for several weeks with the alarm company unable to offer an explanation.
He said: 'If there are such things as ghosts, this would be the logical place for them to be.'
For decades now, thousands of visitors from all over the world, from school children to distinguished architects, have toured the house, enchanted by its authenticity
Over the centuries, there must have been some deaths in the house, museum business manager Lee Ann Hodson said.
There's even been a shocking murder. In 1801, one of the Fairbanks sons, Jason, was convicted in the killing of his girlfriend, Elizabeth Fales, in a nearby pasture. She had apparently spurned his marriage proposal.
He was hanged from the gallows on Dedham Common in one of the most sensational murder cases of the time.
On a whim last year, Mr Schlesinger, 25, asked a ghost-hunting group, The Atlantic Paranormal Society, or TAPS, to come in and see what they might find.
He spent a a night in the house with the TAPS investigators.
He said: 'We heard footsteps in the beginning. Up where the children used to sleep.'
The TAPS group made audio recordings all night in an effort to detect anything out of the ordinary.
They told him after reviewing the tapes that they did record some sounds.
'They thought it was kids, because they got some laughter on the recordings.'
Schlesinger admitted that he didn’t get much sleep that night while the group camped out on sleeping bags in the house’s tiny parlour, especially when his cell phone went off in the middle of the night and began playing organ music.
He said: 'I don’t know if scared is the right word.'Maybe startled or confused.'
The ghost hunters told him not to worry, that if there were spirits in the house, they were likely to be his own family and wouldn’t harm him,
He said the TAPS team also told him spirits like to 'mess with electronics,' which might explain why tourists’ cameras often stop working as well.
He added: 'There is so much history living in this house,"
The TAPS group returned last month for a second round of testing armed with their electro-magnetic field detectors and audio recorders.
Team leader Traci Boiselle, 38, described the outing as 'awesome.'
She said: 'This time, the house had a very different feeling,' she said. 'We had lots of knocking and moving sounds.'
'My take is that definitely there is some paranormal activity in the house."
But Lesley Haine, one of the house’s tour guides who was raised in Dedham, said that while it’s hard to keep flashlights working there, she’s never personally noticed anything too odd.
She said: 'If there are spirits out there, they are good spirits,'
'There’s nothing bad. They’re happy spirits'

A Romany remedy said to make hair grow on a balding patch is to mix equal measures of rosemary oil, almond oil, and bay rum and to rub that into the scalp mornng and night.
To halt thinning hair, rub garlic oil into the scalp morning and night.
To strengthen hair and prevent loss, rinse with an infusion of half a teaspoon of rosemary sprigs in one cup of water.
To grow a good head of hair Romanies say:
"Of weak thinning hair you will never complain
If you cut your hair in the moon's wax
And never in her wane."

In general our dream world is usually a reflection of our waking world. Symbols in our dreams can and do affect our everyday lives. The images offer us an important insight into ourselves, but only if they are properly understood. Here are six common and significant dream scenarios and their meaning:
Flying dreams are extremely common and can indicate power or confidence issues. The key moment is when you lift off in the dream. When you do so, you conquer your limitations. Flying is a freedom beyond normal human abilities, so when we fly, we recognise our own personal sense of power, or perhaps lack of it! Your state of mind should also be revealed by your dream's flight. A smooth take off is a blessing, but falling when in flight usually suggests a moral dilemma . In the Hindu belief system of India, flying represents the ability to astral travel. This means that you can fly to actual locations in a dream state.
Food dreams are usually more about food for thought, but can also reflect unfulfilled desires. If we are not satisfied with life, we tend to try to satisfy ourselves in our dreams and food seems to be the number one choice for that. Each food that appears in a dream can have a particular significance, determined largely by its shape and colour. The walnut, for instance, represents mental ability, whereas a mango usually represents lust.
The symbolism of being chased in a dream is a strong indicator of anxiety and fear in our waking lives, and usually suggests you're feeling vulnerable. You may feel you are being physically or mentally threatened or you wouldn’t be running away. How you deal with being chased in your dreams reflects how you cope with pressure and stress in your waking life. Being chased could symbolize an avoidance of confrontation, but you can also use this as a tool. Turning around and facing your pursuer in the dream will help you face difficult situations in your daily life. If strangely the dream pursuer turns out to be you, it’s because many characters in your dreams are splintered aspects of yourself and it means you are pushing yourself to get beyond your fears.
Mystical objects in a dream, like a cross, unicorn, or witch craft symbols usually suggest a yearning to believe in something spiritual, or a higher power. You have placed this object in your dream as a type of punctuation, reminding you to look for a deeper meaning. There’s probably something in your life that is being hidden from you. In your dream you sense this, and give the unknown special meaning. You do this because you realise that it does have a power over you. In ancient traditions a sacred object in a dream was seen as a spiritual message leading you to your destiny.
Being naked inpublic a dream can have a variation of meanings depending on your life situation at the time. Clothes always symbolise concealment, because humans are the only animal that hides their bodies under them. If everyone else is clothed, being naked represents vulnerability and probably your need to be accepted. Nakedness in a dream can also mean that you are hiding something about yourself and are afraid others will find out. Alternatively , it can also mean that you have nothing to hide from others' scrutiny or have a desire like an exhibitionist to be the centre of attention.
Animals in dreams have specific meanings depending on what type of animal it is. In general, the animal either represents a part of your personality or your fears and hopes. If the animal is wild it probably relates to the untamed subconscious part of your personality. If it’s a domesticated animal it is either your conscious tamed mind or a particular animal that has meaning in your life. There are many cultures that still believe that an animal in your dream represents your totem spirit - the animal your personality is most like. It is believed that a person can learn to follow this totem animal in his or her dream to find the true self. If that animal speaks it represents hidden knowledge that cannot be obtained by conventional sources.
Hopefully, by trying to work out the meanings of our dreams we can learn more about who we are. Our dream states are less protected, and many feelings we cannot or are afraid to express in our waking world come out in them. Sleep well!

The answer to, "Which sign is most likely to cheat on me?" is, "All signs." But before you panic - it's necessary to understand that there's no one sign that is more or less likely to cheat. It's about what makes each sign most willing to cheat.
Some signs seek excitement or want to see and experience what they do not have. Some are simply unhappy in what they see as a current negative situation, and feel lonely and neglected. Many potential cheaters have self-esteem issues and are the look out for the person who makes him or her feel attractive. And, yes, a few are just permanently on heat!
Aries fits into the excitement category. Rams feel with their ego, need attention, and thus fall into the self-esteem sector, too. Many flirtations are just emotional or about how much acceptance they can get. Although a fiery sign, many Aries actually run from forbidden attractions. They may consider infidelity, however, if their mate is unfaithful to them in a tit-for-tat battle.
Taurus is known for loyalty, but like Aries, may cheat if their partner is unfaithful or is suspected of being so. A negative situation for Taurus is when they get little affection, touching, and attention. Cheating satisfys the sense of loneliness and neglect for this tender, loving sign.
With Gemini, lust isn't usually the motivator, it's intellectual cheating or intimate conversation more than sex. It's excitement, too, for this eternally restless sign. Also, when Gemini feels neglected and lonely, he or she reaches out for kindred spirits and shared interests to pass the time.
Cancer is another loyal sign, prone to personal guilt trips, so motivation to cheat isn't high. If they are involved, they often get caught up in soppy romances. They often have self-esteem issues and are extra impressionable if they are in need of a bit of attention and flattery.
Fiery Leo craves excitement. Lions also fall into the self-este
em category because of the need to be the centre of attention. A few think they are the world's greatest lovers, and they set out to prove it. Leo is especially vulnerable to having a midlife crisis, drawn to charming individuals at least 20 years younger than they are because they want to feel youthful again
The Virgo is another potentially emotional cheater. In this case it's not a physical, but a mental affair. Needless to say, the sign of the Virgin is prone to heavy, personal guilt trips. The motivation to cheat might be that they have tried everything to make a relationship work, but they go to another out of frustration.
Libra likes to please. Natives of this sign do have strong principles, sound instincts, and take commitment seriously, so they aren't tops on the list of potential cheaters. However, this is a sign that finds it hard to say no, and is a potentially dangerous flirter. Librans need affection and attention. They may fall for the fantasy of finding a love that lasts a lifetime, so most won't take cheating lightly.
Passionate, mysterious Scorpio gets bad press when it comes to their fidelity. Oozing sex appeal, they get accused whether they cheat or not. Scorpions fall into the need-for-excitement category, liking the intrigue of clandestine activities. They have strong physical appetites many can't keep under control. This is another sign that is out for revenge if a partner cheats.
Sagittarius is another sign that needs excitement. They wonder if there often wonder if there could be someone else or a grand, passionate adventure around the corner. An ultimate, starry-eyed romantic, they get in trouble when innocent flirting leads to something more. They panic when the passion gets heavy, which is one reason why they do try to do the right thing in a committed relationship.
Capricorn's down fall is self-esteem when it comes to a lack of respect and feeling unloved. A few natives of the sign find sex "naughty," and therefore exciting. Most Capricorns, however, discover that the worry of getting caught and losing everything takes the adventure out of it. This is another sign torn by guilty feelings and is very capable of controlling their "forbidden" passion.
Aquarius natives need to receive a lot of attention and to feel needed. Often, Aquarians are mates who are cheated on, because their partners need romance. Like Gemini, they get involved in intellectual cheating, or emotional affairs, instead of sexual flings or physically-based cheating.
Dreamy Pisces' motivation is self-esteem. Like Leo, they could be lured into a midlife crisis situation. When they realise that life is short, they don't want to grow up, and may wonder, "Where's the magic?!" And like Scorpio, Pisceans are attracted to mystery and clandestine meetings. Ever the romantic, they can feel like a passionate fling with someone new is fate and meant to be so they are totally powerless to resist!

Versatility is the hallmark of Sun Sign Geminians. With a strong desire to communicate on all levels, they are usually perfectly comfortable in the public eye – and, indeed, many actively seek out fame and become global stars in both the world of film and music. Natural flirts and often blessed with a charismatic personality they have no problem attracting legions of fans. But in their personal life they can be very different and once in a committed relationship they will be unswervingly loyal to their partners, as if Sir Paul’s case who was happily married for almost 30 years until the death of his wife Linda in 1998.
Definitely beautiful and controversial, lively Supermodel Gemini Naomi is anything but a wallflower! Known mainly for her high-fashion career and quick temper, Naomi's chart shows that her Moon is in Sagittarius, which is probably where she gets her bold, rebellious side. Legal issues have plagued her due to her famous temper tantrums, but her humanitarian side helps balance her more volatile aspects. She always seems to come out on top professionally, regardless of the mistakes she makes in her personal life

Sir Paul's impressive list of accomplishments includes singer, songwriter, composer, entrepreneur, record and film producer, poet, painter, and animal rights and peace activist. Before he was known for most of these, however, he was of course a member of the legendary Beatles. As you can tell, he did all right on his own, too. Examine his chart and you'll see he gets his versatility from four aspects in Gemini, including his Sun. His love of performing no doubt comes from two aspects in flashy, confident Leo.
Most people identify Helen Hunt from her long-running sitcom Mad About You, but she's also been in many movies and has the titles of film director and screenwriter on her CV. She also the proud winner of an Academy Award for her outstanding performance in the romantic dramedy As Good As It Gets, and some of her other films include Twister, Cast Away, What Women Want, and Pay It Forward. And as a triple Gemini, she adapts easily to diverse roles, as is evident in her body of work.
Born in Memphis, Morgan Freeman is the epitome of the southern gentleman. His easy going, flexible Gemini persona comes across both on screen and off. In addition to acting, he also directs and narrates films. His reserved demeanour and compassionate spirit no doubt come from his Pisces Moon, but with two other aspects in driven and assertive Aries, he's no pushover either. With many acting awards and nominations to his credit, it's easy to see that he takes his job - and his life - seriously!

Amethyst is well-known for promoting calm after stressful encounters, such as confrontation, and working with this crystal can also help you deal with the effect of little stresses that build up throughout the course of the day, month and even over a number of years.
When you begin to feel stressed, it's i
mportant to take yourself away from the situation as quickly as possible. Take hold of two amethyst crystals, one in each hand. Wait a minute or two until you notice that you are feeling calm and your breathing returns to normal. If you work with your crystals every time you feel even the slightest stress, you will quickly find that few things stress you out and you relax more easily after each stressful even.
Aquamarine, celestite, lapis lazuli and smokey quartz can also promote a relaxed state of mind and body.

A dream of running suggests that you are involved in a situation (or obligation) from which you would like to escape. It may be time to talk over your worries with a professional or a friend before the resentment has serious repercussions.
To dream of beng unable to run indicates a lack of self-confidence. Try asserting yourself now and then, you might be surprised by the results!

Most Taureans have a great love of money and the security it can bring. They are therefore prepared to strive hard to establish this in their own lives . Persistent and determinated to the point of stubbornness they rarely give up on accomplishing their goals. Once a Tauren has made their mind about something there is is very little that will divert them from their main aims. Often deeply humanitarian too they get passionate about injustices in the world and many famous Taureans have lend their names to such causes.
Here are few of showbiz’s most well-known and respected Taureans:
George Clooney director, producer, and screenwriter. This Taurus has won two Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award for his efforts along the way. His Venus is in Aries, meaning he tends to be pretty up front and honest in his romantic pursuits. With two aspects in altruistic Aquarius, he's also quite the humanitarian. Could he actually be the "perfect" man? Lots of women think so!
Very few celebrities make it to single-name status, but Cher is definitely at the top of the list when it comes to one-name fame! In her long, successful, and varied career, this tenacious Taurus with her Moon in ambitious Capricorn has taken on the roles of singer, songwriter, actor, director, and record producer. She's won an Academy Award, Grammy, Emmy, three Golden Globes, and a People's Choice Award for her outstanding achievements in film, music, and TV.

Joanna Lumley This Taurus beauty not only has an interesting and varied history - born in India, raised in England, former top model and acclaimed actor - but her present is fascinating as well. She still acts from time to time, is a famous voiceover artist, and has become a fervent human rights and animal welfare activist. And her Moon is also in stubborn and strong-willed sign of the Bull, which means she knows what she wants and rarely stops until she gets it.
Pierce Brosnan is a dual citizen of Ireland and the U.S., Pierce is a persistent double Taurus - both his Sun and Mercury, the planet of communication, are in this conservative sign. His Moon, however, is in emotional Cancer, so we can see why he's able to play with equal flair the rugged James Bond and the sensitive Sam Carmichael from Mamma Mia! Outside of his acting, Pierce is known for his humanitarian and environmental activism, and he's happily married to journalist Keely Shaye Smith.
Although Michelle made her first movie appearance in 1980, she didn't really get noticed until her appearance in Scarface (1983). After that, her career really took off. She went on to star in successful films like Married to the Mob, Frankie and Johnny, and Batman Returns. Michelle is a dependable, efficient Taurus with her Moon in responsible Virgo and her Mercury in assertive Aries, so she has an excellent work ethic and worked hard to earn her three Oscar nominations.

Sun Sign Arians are ambitious, enterprising and love to stand out from the crowd. As most are usually blessed with deep resources of determination they have the ability to succeed even in the most competitive of arenas such as showbiz. Here are a few superstar Arians who have not only achieved world fame but also made it last!
To say singer Diana Ross has accomplished a lot is an understatement. Including her work with The Supremes, she has released 67 albums! As a solo artist, she has sold millions of records. Diana's also credited with helping to shape the Motown sound in the 1960s. It isn't surprising to learn that she's a driven, ambitious double Aries with her Moon in determined and stubborn Taurus. You don't reach her level of success without being just a bit of a diva!
Singer, songwriter, composer, and pianist Elton, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, has sold over 250 million records in his long career, making him one of the most successful artists of all time. Elton's Sun is in energetic Aries and his Moon is in stable, security-seeking Taurus, which gives him a very balanced outlook. It shows in his accomplishments, too. He has had more than 50 Top 40 hits, and won five Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Tony Award.
William Shatner is, of course, best known for his iconic role as Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek. Some of the other credits of this innovative Aries are lesser known and show the Canadian-born actor's lighter side, like a spoken-word album and daily online video postings about his life on TheShatnerProject.com. They no doubt come from Venus in Aquarius, an aspect that portrays an open-mindedness and desire to have people love him for his eccentricities and innovation
She got her start as Posh Spice in the Spice Girls and then became even more famous as Mrs. David Beckham, but no matter how you think of her, Victoria is an energetic, spirited Aries with Leo Rising, which may be where she gets her strong need to be the centre of attention! And with all that excess energy, she definitely likes to keep busy, which is obvious from her jet-setting life as a wife, mom, solo singer, designer, and trend-setting fashionista.

Kay Groom sleeps like the dead - literally - after swapping her bed for a coffin 15 years ago.
Kay, 48, who describes herself as "happy-go-lucky" keeps a coffin in a bedroom and says she likes to take the mystery out of death by lying in it.
She keeps the £200, made-to-measure pine box, lined with red satin, in the spare bedroom of her home in Swaffham, Norfolk.
She says she had it made so she could be ready when the time came.
"It's very comfy - although I don't like it with the lid down because I'm a bit claustrophobic," she said.
Ms Groom, who has a 24-year-old daughter, says she also thought it would help her family financially if she bought the coffin.
"It's the coffin I'm going to buried in and I had it made about four or five years ago," she said.
"I had to go for a fitting."
Ms Groom, who has a collection of more than 300 ornamental skulls, a skeleton and would like to be an undertaker, said she had been fascinated by death for 15 years.
"People think I'm mad, macabre, and some think I'm a witch. But I'm not. I'm quite happy-go-lucky.
"I just find the idea of death fascinating.
"I think it's a subject we should talk about more."

According the World Health Organization, (WHO) there are more sorcerers and witches practising medicine in Russia than there are doctors!
Data collected by the WHO recently found that there were about 800,000 occult healers in the former Soviet country, compared to just 640,000 professional doctors.
Interest in the paranormal really took off in the final years of the USSR, when psychic healers Anatoly Kashpirovsky and Allan Chumak became huge stars and drew TV audiences of millions as they demonstrated their sixth senses. Even today shows like "Bitva Ekstrasensov" (Battle of Psychic) enjoy prime time slots on Russian TV.

Gypsies believe that even if your lover's attention is wandering the situation isn't entirely hopeless if you try this simple spell.
Wait until Friday, because Friday is governed by the goddess Venus.
Take your favourite pen and a piece of fresh white paper, write your first name and your lover's surname. Draw a square around them.
With your eyes closed say aloud:
"Our fate is sealed. We are one"
Cut the square out and place it insider your pillowcase, or among your most intimate possessions. Your lover will return.

This most common of dreams is generally symbolic of some basic fear in the dreamer's life, such as a fear of a moral lapse, job failure, sexual inadequacy, loss of status, etc,; however, the prophetic meaning of this dream is, strangely, very similar in that it indicates setbacks in your life but may be modified by the details of the action of the dream. If, in your dream, you fall a long distance, you may expect a tough setback, however, if you landed in the dream without hurting yourself, then you may expect that whilst the setbacks are upsetting they are only temporary.
If you should hurt yourself in the dream you may expect to endure some hardships for some time.
To fall from a medium height indicates a loss of prestige; to fall to the floor (as from a standing or sitting position) is a warning of danger of false friends. If your dream involved others falling, it indicates triumph over enemies; and if you fell but got up again, you will overcome the obstacles in your path. To fall into water can mean financial stress, but again the various other factors of the dream need to be taken into consideration.

The 22 Major Arcana cards from the tarot deck, chart the soul’s journey through all of our earthly incarnations, describing all of the different challenges that we will meet along the way – but did you know that your birth date can tell you which particular card from the Major Arcana has the most influence on your current life?
If you want to know which card you were born under, all you need to do is add up the numbers from your date of birth. If the final figure you arrive at is greater than 21, then you add those numbers to reduce them to a single figure. The number you are left with tells you which card you were born under.
So, if your date of birth is the 20th August 1981, write this out as 20/08/1981. Add these as follows: 2+0+0+8+1+9+8+1. This gives you a total of 29. As this is greater than 21, then add 2+1 to get the final total of 3. If this is your birthdate, it means that your tarot birthcard is The Empress!
Once you have worked out which card you were born under, you can read how it may influence your life below!
0 The Fool
The Fool steps out into the unknown, sure that the universe will provide! For those born under the influence of The Fool, life will be a magical journey full of ups and downs and amazing experiences. It could mean a life packed with travel and adventure, but it can also mean a life spent journeying inwards to find out who you truly are. You may need to guard against being reckless and impulsive as this could result in consequences further down the line that you just didn’t see coming at the time, but with this card guiding your life it can also mean that taking those risks could pay back in spades. Many say that The Fool is already enlightened in that he embraces all experiences with an open heart and no judgement and is wiser than he sometimes looks. If this is your card, you may often feel that you are very protected throughout all of your adventures.
1 The Magician
The Magician has the power to manifest anything. If this is your birth card, you have the gift of being able to turn your wildest dreams into reality. Totally committed to getting what you want, you can create and enjoy all of the abundance life has to offer and have the ability to completely focus on your goals. The Magician also has the ability to charm everyone, but do make sure that you use your powers of persuasion wisely as the shadow side of the Magician means that you may be tempted to manipulate others around to your way of thinking or doing things. You certainly have the power and your life’s journey is all about learning to harness it and use it wisely.
2 The High Priestess
The High Priestess is about intuition, wisdom and knowledge. If this is your birth card, you will probably feel a lifelong pull towards anything esoteric or mysterious. The High Priestess is also a great keeper of secrets. Your life’s journey will involve honing your intuition and learning when to speak out and act and when to stay silent and be still. Meditation will certainly help you enhance your natural gifts and help you gain clarity about what to do with them. Make sure that you keep a dream journal and trust your inner wisdom at all times.
3 Empress
The Empress is the archetypal mother who gives birth to everything! If this is your birth card, you will be blessed with strong instincts and abilities to nurture and create. This applies to relationships, but will also extend to all kinds of creativity in business or the arts. Fabulously sensual, The Empress is also famous for her focus on pleasures of all kinds and great appreciation of beauty and nature. Watch out for a love of luxury and indulgence and understand that not everyone may respond to you as being the Goddess that you undoubtedly are, as the shadow side of The Empress is that she can become angry and controlling if her rule is challenged.
4 Emperor
The Emperor is a strong, masculine figure with powerful authority. Those ruled by this birth card are highly organised and make natural leaders. Ambitious and protective, you may find that you can wisely wield the power that you seek. And blessed with boundless self discipline, you can succeed at anything that you set out to achieve but may have to watch a tendency to tread on those you see as being weaker than yourself. You were born powerful and your life’s journey will involve learning how to combine this with compassion so that you can be a truly visionary and wise leader in whatever situation you find yourself in.
5 The Hierophant
The Hierophant represents social structures and rules and particularly the kinds of beliefs that they are built on. If this is your birth card, you may find that you spend a great deal of time working out what it’s all about and exploring different philosophies and ways of looking at the world. At various points in your life, you could find yourself having to decide whether to stay with the herd and be safe or follow your heart to discover what is true for you. Others will see you as being solid and reliable. You may need to work on a tendency to become a little too rigid when you feel threatened and may need persuading that some rules are made to be broken.
6 The Lovers
The Lovers stands for love – but it also represents choice! If this is your card, you will almost certainly find your path through life strewn with temptations and opportunities that could take you in all sorts of exciting directions – but which way will you go? The male and female figures in the card can also be seen as complimentary energies of yin and yang, masculine and feminine. Your life’s journey will involve learning how to bring together opposites to create a magnificent whole. Remember, the card also shows an Angel, meaning that you can access divine protection and inspiration if ever you find yourself pulled around in a dilemma.
7 The Chariot
The Chariot is about fast movement and using your willpower to pull together forces that otherwise might gallop off in different directions! Your life’s journey is all about learning how to control your emotions and needs, working out a direction for yourself and managing to hold everything together even at those times when it seems life is moving forward at a fantastic pace.
8 Strength
Strength is about bringing together yin and yang, masculine and feminine energies. Being born under the influence of this card means that you have huge inner strength and can pick yourself up and keep going no matter how often life seems to knock you down. Your life’s journey is all about learning how to maintain harmony and balance, both within yourself and in any circumstances that you find yourself in. You may also find that you have natural healing abilities.
9 Hermit
If this is your birth card, you may often find yourself in situations where either you choose to take time out to be alone or find yourself thrown upon your inner resources. The path of the Hermit is all about developing your own inner wisdom. You may feel drawn towards taking regular retreats where you will be able to look within to develop your understanding and look for answers. Your life’s journey is a personal quest for understanding and shining your own light on your path. You may find that others are drawn towards you to ask your advice, or that you may meet more than one mentor who can guide you onwards and upwards.
10 The Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel of Fortune represents a turn of fate – usually for the better! If this is your birth card, you will be blessed with many opportunities throughout your life that seem to arrive out of the blue. You could find yourself continually taken by surprise by the amazing turn of events. Chance meetings, dream job offers and gorgeous strangers asking for directions and then your number – it’s all of these and more! Ruled by expansive Jupiter, you can expect regular doses of luck that you just can’t explain. And why even try to bother. Just accept your luck! Your life’s journey is learning how to spot the opportunities as they come up and how to make the most of the many offers that seem to fall into your lap.
11 Justice
Justice represents justice of all kinds – including karmic justice! Your life’s journey is all about exploring all things to do with fairness and with weighing things up carefully before acting. Because this card talks just as much about karmic justice as the kind dished out by courts, things may not always turn out as you hope they will and at these times you will have to learn to trust that a a greater mystery is at work and a deeper justice is playing out.
12 The Hanged Man
The Hanged Man is actually quite deceptive. If this is your birth card, it may look like not much is happening on the surface a lot of the time but, as this card is ruled by Neptune, you can expect loads of hidden depths and things going on beneath the surface. As this card shows a man literally hanging upside down, you may have a quirky way of looking at things and could be a visionary in your own right. It also talks about the importance of not rushing into things, but taking the time to contemplate before action. You may also often feel the need to put aside your own desires to serve a higher cause.
13 Death
Death signals transformation and rebirth. Your life’s journey is about breaking free of old patterns and structures and letting go of whatever no longer serves you. You may find that your life is scattered with endings, but remember that the energy of this card is all about clearing away the old to make way for the new. Every ending signals a new beginning and a fresh start, so whatever happens, you will always have the opportunity to build something amazing from scratch. To make the most of the energy of this card, focus firmly on the future and practice letting go of the past with love.
14 Temperance
Temperance talks about balance in your life. Your particular life lesson is all about learning how to keep learning how to juggle many balls in the air at once! You’ll know when you’re out of balance because you’ll be working at the expense of your personal life, or partying so hard that your health could begin to suffer. You could even be frequently challenged to restore harmony amongst others who seem to have locked heads – but you’ve got the patience and charm to pull it off. Make sure that all of the elements of your life work in harmony and you’ll be an amazing influence to everyone around you.
15 The Devil
The Devil is the arch showman and ruler of the material world. On one hand, your life could often feel like a three ringed circus, with lots of fabulous entertainment to enjoy and good times had by all. His shadow side means that he can trick you into fears, compulsions and addictions and your life’s journey is all about seeing through The Devil’s illusions and realising that no one has any power over you but you. Step into your power and watch all of his smoke and mirror tricks melt into nothing.
16 The Tower
The Tower talks about sudden and sometimes cataclysmic changes of all kinds. You may feel that your life gets shaken up on a regular basis and wonder when things are just going to be stable and peaceful. It could seem that you’re always moving house, changing jobs or dealing with one thing after another. Tower energy is dramatic and powerful but, like an earthquake, it is always short lived. Trust that whatever passes out of your life was meant to go and learn to enjoy the rapid succession of new experiences that get thrown your way. The Tower can also refer to sudden breakthroughs in understanding. Your life may not be peaceful, but it will certainly be spectacular!
17 Star
This lovely, bright card offers a promise that you will be guided and protected throughout your life’s journey. The Star talks about the presence of hope and creativity. Your life’s journey is all about following divine inspiration and enjoying harmony. There will always be light at the end of any tunnel that you face.
18 The Moon
This mysterious lunar card is all about deep feelings and intuitions. Your life’s journey is all about learning how to develop you inner wisdom so that you will be able to distinguish between fantasy and reality. Remember, even the most familiar road looks different at night and the Moon can trick you into seeing things that aren’t there. Focus on developing thinking clearly and staying tuned in with your sense of direction to make the most of your innate powers of intuition.
19 Sun
The Sun card is a symbol of fun and energy. If this is your birth card, you are blessed with a life of joy and good fortune. Your life’s journey is all about making the most of your enthusiasm and energy. Full of confidence, you’ll be able to succeed at anything you throw yourself into and could also find yourself the centre of attention.
20 Judgement
Judgement represents a call from a higher place to a higher ground. If this is your birth card, your life’s journey is onwards and upwards. This means leaving the past behind you, letting go of old grudges, failings and resentments, and moving forwards to embrace your destiny. If that sounds dramatic, it is! If you follow your path fearlessly you will be led towards your true purposed and it will mean that you will have to show great courage and perseverance to embrace all of the possibilities that will unfold. But this card promises that, no matter how hard it may look, this path is yours to walk and that you will receive divine protection.
21 World
If The World is your birth card, you will get to experience victory over obstacles and the freedom of unlimited potential. This is the card of dreams coming true and finding solutions to your problems. It is a sort of of happy ever after card. The shadow side of The World means that you may get so lost in the big picture that you forget to tie up the loose ends and find that your energy is dissipated in a hundred projects that never get off the ground. The promise of The World is completion and joy, so know that you have what it takes to finish everything that you start, to be successful and find happiness

From Astral Plane to Zodiac, Linda can teach you the meanings of the words and phrases of destiny.
Amulet
A talisman that is designed to be worn, usually in the form of a necklace, bracelet or brooch. It is said to protect its wearer or to be a guide in troubled times.
Angels
Angels are often regarded as immortal messengers from God who provide aid and assistance when necessary. They can be human, bearing guidance.
Astral plane
The idea was popularised by Theosophy, where it meant the first plane beyond the physical plane. Later it became known as the emotional plane of consciousness. It is of a different level to our material world.
Astral projection
We have physical and astral bodies. When the body is unconscious, whether from sleep or from accident or illness, that person's astral self can leave the body and travel anywhere in the Universe. Some individuals can astral travel at will – consciously. The astral body is said to be attached to the body by a ‘silver cord’. Some say that if this cord breaks, the person dies.
Astrology
Astrology is both a science and an art. It studies how events on earth relate to the positions and movements of the planets in our solar system. For a ‘natal chart, astrologers map the positions of the planets, the 12 signs of the zodiac, and the 12 houses of the horoscope – preferably at the exact time of birth. They interpret their findings to identify the characteristics, lifetime potentials, and destiny of individuals. Astrological readings can also be made for a group, a country, and for animals such as household pets.
Aura
The electromagnetic field that surrounds every living being. An aura can be any one – or a combination - of the primary colors in the rainbow. Some people have a fixed inner aura color that remains constant, depending on their personality and basic nature. However, there are many layers to the aura, and the colour of the outer aura can change with the individual's mood, and state of health. People with keen psychic abilities can often see auras.
Celestial
Relating to the sky, as in "celestial map". Usually represents a particular shade of “sky” blue.
Channel
To send a message from one person or place to another; a medium, clairvoyant, or a healer might do this through a spirit entity. So might a writer – whose inspiration appears to come from nowhere – without actually contacting anyone consciously.
Clairaudience
The psychic ability to receive messages from an entity existing in another realm. The person or medium receiving these messages ‘hears’ the messages either in their mind or as an external voice.
Claircognizance
This means ‘clear knowing’. It brings the ability to know things without being told, and to receive complete ideas without prior knowledge. Some people tune in and ‘pick up’ things, such as poetry or music this way. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart may have been claircognizant; Symphony No. 1 (K. 16) was composed when he was just nine years old.
Clairsentience
‘Clear feeling’ is the ability to feel or sense what someone else is experiencing or feeling. Hunches, intuition, and connections with spirits also belong to this category. Some psychics with this ability can track down lost people or objects.
Clairvoyance
Literally, ‘clear sight’. This means the ability of a medium or psychic to see a spirit person, or people and objects that are some distance away and then describe details about them to others. These images can appear either in material form or in the mind’s eye. It also means the ability to ‘see’ past or future events.
Crystal ball
A transparent ball usually made of quartz crystal that enables certain psychics to focus their clairvoyance.
Destiny
A person’s future, either seen as being either fixed or as changeable, depending on a person’s determination.
Divination
The ability to see into the future; this can involve the interpretation of omens or supernatural messages, and any appropriate discipline such as astrology, tarot cards, mediumship or clairvoyance.
Dowsing
A technique in which a rod, stick, pendulum or other tool is used to locate hidden things such things as underground water or buried treasure.
Dream Interpretation
Dream interpretation is the process of assigning meaning to dreams. In ancient societies, such as Egypt and Greece dreaming was considered a supernatural communication or a means of divine intervention. Today, it is more likely to be regarded as the practice by various schools of psychology of assigning meaning to the symbols in dreams in order to foretell the future or solve a problem.
ESP
Extra Sensory Perception. The ability to perceive thoughts, emotions and events that are not apparent on a physical level.
Ethereal
The characteristic of lightness and insubstantiality.
Ghost
The wandering spirit of a person who has died to the earthly plane, but still maintains mind and consciousness. For one reason or another, the ghost (or spirit) has not moved on to the higher planes. This might be because they feel attached to places where they were happy or wronged in some way. It may also mean a spirit who comes back from a higher plane to look after someone who is in trouble.
Horoscope
The construction and analysis of the horoscope is the basis of astrological practice. A ‘chart of the heavens’ is cast for a particular moment in time, as reflected at a particular place on the Earth’s surface. The horoscope is divided into a number (usually 12) of houses whose positions depend on date, time and location. Many publications carry horoscopes predicting daily or monthly events for the 12 sun signs. To simplify matters, these ‘public readings’ are calculated for noon on the relevant day whereas individual charts require an accurate time of birth, and birthplace.
I-Ch’ing
An ancient Chinese oracle or the ‘Book of Changes’, which consists of 64 chapters illustrating universal principles, and which is accessed by throwing stalks or coins. It involves the dynamic balance of opposites (yin and yang), the evolution of events as a process, and acceptance of the inevitability of change.
Intuition
Understanding obtained without apparent effort; quick and ready insight that comes independently of previous experience, reasoning or observation. It is also one of the ‘four types’ of Carl Gustav Jung’s practice, found in the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator opposite ‘sensing’.
Meditation
A technique that enables the practitioner to lift awareness to a higher level (or plane) by clearing the mind of mental, emotional and psychological interruptions.
Medium
Someone who is able to serve as an intermediary between the living and the dead. A medium may listen to and relate conversations with spirit voices, go into a trance and speak without knowledge of what is being said, allow a spirit to enter his or her body and speak through it, or use some form of physical tool, such as a writing pad, to relay messages from the spirits those who wish to contact them. Not all psychics are mediums; also called a Channeler.

The skill of determining character and life potential of a human being by reading the lines and other characteristics of their hands.

Literally, ‘outside the normal’. This is an umbrella term for anything that cannot be explained by present (scientific) knowledge. It includes extrasensory perception (ESP), dowsing, astral projection and reincarnation. Ghosts and haunting, Unidentified Flying Objects (as UFOs) and The Bermuda Triangle also come under this category.
Parapsychology
The study of the paranormal, especially extrasensory perception, using scientific techniques.
Pendulum
A practice of divination used to answer ‘yes or no’ questions by observing whether the pendulum swings from front to back (yes) or from left to right (no).
Planes of consciousness
In our Solar System, there are several planes of consciousness. These include our normal physical, material or earthly plane; the etheric plane(where we find ghosts), the emotional or astral plane; the higher astral planes (where more evolved souls rest and regenerate their resources), and beyond the astral plane, the higher mind, Buddhic, Atmic planes and the plane of full solar consciousness, the Supreme or Absolute.
Premonition
A powerful feeling that something is going to happen.

Spirit guides
A term often used by Spiritualist Churches, mediums, and psychics to describe a spirit with a high degree of wisdom who chooses to remain close to the earthly plane. Such an entity may act as spiritual counsellor or guide to help certain living human beings along the right path. This system was devised by the Babylonians, but the Alexandrians later decided to fit the number of signs to the number and meanings of the houses. They also named the constellations after the zodiac signs

The North of England. Brooding landscapes as hard as the men who live there. Crags washed in cold drizzle. Mists curling in from a wild sea. It’s not surprising that the towns of the North of England are associated with all manner of ghosts and ghouls.
Chester
Take Chester. The most haunted city in the country.
In the cathedral the Devil’s Mark appears on a flagstone in the cloister. No matter how hard the curious symbol is cleaned away, come the next morning there it is again.
The moans of the condemned are still heard on the Bridge of Sighs across which condemned criminals were once led from Northgate gaol to their last rites in Bluecoat chapel.
And if you need Dutch courage to face these spectres, don’t visit the Boot Inn in Eastgate Row, once the city’s largest brothel, where the ghostly cries and insane laughter of women long dead still echo around the bar.
York
York is almost as spooky as Chester. Some of the ghosts there are 2000 years old!
A lost Roman Legion has frequently been seen in the cellars of the Treasurer's House, which was built over a Roman Road. Horns sounding feebly and spears dragging on the ground, the weary legionnaires are led to their grisly fate by an ill-kempt centurion.
More recently children in an orphanage, the York Industrial ragged School, were said to have been murdered by their Master and their bodies left to rot locked in a cupboard. Their screams and moans can still be heard in the silence of the night.
Whitby
Not so far away is the seaside town of Whitby. A beautiful, yet strange and disturbing place.
At night the Whitby Hell Hound howls; listen and tremble for only those fated to die can hear its terrible cry.
The ruins of Whitby Abbey are the scene for a phantom coach and horses that thunders up the road, past the church and plunges silently over the cliffs into the sea.
And at Fitzsteps beware the phantom carrying its severed head under its arm that walks the lanes at night.
Scarborough
Another seaside town, and yet more horrid hauntings.
The castle haunted by the ghost of Piers Gaveston, a favourite of Edward the II, who was horribly killed in the 14th century by nobles jealous and appalled by his close relationship with the king. Visit the castle at night and his headless and furious ghost will rush at you.
In the Three Mariners pub a headless woman warns fishermen of impending disaster. But take care lest one night you meet the Pink Lady, Lydia Bell, who haunts the street where she was murdered in 1804. She may take her revenge.
The towns of the north. Wild as the countryside that surrounds them. Mysterious as the some of te folk that live there. Dare you visit?

Now that Terminal 5 is open at Heathrow Airport, passengers may be feeling the ghost of Dick Turpin standing behind them.
Employees often say they are sure someone is behind them.
They feel hot breath on their necks, and sometimes when it is quiet, they hear a man barking and howling like a dog. Turning, they find there is no-one there, but old hands say this is Dick Turpin's ghost.
Heathrow was once in a collection of isolated villages on the notorious Hounslow Heath, a favourite spot of highwaymen, and in particular Turpin.
Reports mention sightings of him riding on his horse, Black Bess, wearing his gentleman's outfit of a black tri-corn hat, black cloak and high boots. But at Heathrow, he obviously realises you can't check in a horse, so he just stands waiting.
There are also more modern spirits living here. Sadly, one seen most often is connected to a Belgian Airlines plane crash in 1948.
No one survived, but a man appeared asking the rescue crew if anyone had found his briefcase.
Fading away, they later found the man's body in the wreckage. Since that night he has been sighted many times appearing out of nowhere, walking along the runway searching for his briefcase.
Another businessman haunts one of the VIP Lounges, sometimes only seen from the waist down. Viewers speak of seeing a pair of grey clad legs walking around the lounge.
Then there are the ghosts of travellers murdered by an evil Hounslow landlord notorious for doing a Sweeney Todd on his clients, and others if you look for them.

A recent beauty survey suggested that ninety per cent of women would refuse to leave the house without make-up.
Almost all of those quizzed said wearing cosmetics made them feel more confident and attractive. Without it they felt insecure and exposed.
And 65% said they reapplied make-up before sex.
But what does your zodiac sign say about your attitude to beauty and how can it help you enhance your looks. Read on to find out.
Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Like sporty yet dashing Aries Kate Hudson, you're a blow-dry-and-go kind of girl. Because your sign rules the head, however, it's worth investing in the right cut and colour to frame your fabulous face. A few blonde highlights will go a long way toward boosting your youthful appeal. Though you're usually too busy to fuss with your face, taking the time to apply a little mascara and tinted lip gloss will make you look and feel great.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Your beauty stems from your innate femininity. Because you're ruled by voluptuous Venus, like screen siren Uma Thurman, you have curves aplenty and a lovely complexion worth preserving. Wear sunscreen religiously, and use high quality skin care products -- not only on your face but also your neck and chest. Highlighting your luscious lips with the works -- liner, lipstick and gloss -- will give added glamour.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Like Gemini goddess Angelina Jolie, your appeal comes not just from your beautiful face, but also from your quirky intelligence and unpredictable moves. Enhance your reputation as a quick-change artist by constantly trying out new hairstyles and the latest makeup tricks. Pay particular attention to your lovely shoulders, arms and hands -- tone them with weights, baby them with rich oils and invest in regular manicures
Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
It's no accident that Cancer is associated with the breasts and belly, since Cancer is one of the most womanly signs. Whether bestowed by nature or acquired through plastic surgery -- like Cancerian Pamela Anderson's -- your cleavage is one of your most alluring attributes. Enhance it with rich moisturizers, shimmery highlights and revealing tops. And, learn to love your belly's curves while toning it with regular sit-ups.
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Your gorgeous mane is your beauty trademark. Like glamorous lioness Jennifer Lopez, known for tossing her curls over her shoulder, you get extra mileage with long hair. Pamper it with the best in hair-care products and salon styling. You also have a dazzling smile, so invest in keeping your teeth healthy and whitened -- and straightened, if necessary -- so you'll look your best in rich red and bronze lipsticks.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
There's a certain purity about you, which gives you a special allure. Like diva Beyonce Knowles, you're characterized by seeming innocence coupled with keen intelligence. Some of you abandon makeup entirely, preferring the natural look, while others spend hours trying to camouflage imperfections. Instead, why not go for the middle route and aim for a fresh-faced look that plays up your most attractive features
Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Never was there a more perfect Libra icon than the cool, blonde, impossibly lovely Gwyneth Paltrow. Like her, your beauty flowers not just from your pretty face, but also from your fierce idealism and elegant presentation. Your eyes are one of your loveliest features -- play them up by investing in high-quality shadow and mascara. Having your makeup or colours professionally done will bring you the sense of harmony you crave.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
There's a dark mystery and smouldering depth to you. Like magnetic beauty Demi Moore, you radiate inner power. Because you're ruled by both energetic Mars and passionate Pluto, finding a sport, workout or active pursuit you love is the key to tapping into your true splendour. Invest in martial arts training or yoga classes, and you won't need more than a hint of lip gloss and mascara to bring out your natural beauty.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
Like songstress Christina Aguilera, who belts 'em out with passion and panache, you're not afraid to make a statement. Whether you go over the top with playful makeup and hairdos or prefer to present yourself au naturel, it's your spirit and enthusiasm that make you beautiful. You like to be wild and carefree and enjoy the wind in your hair -- so keep it lustrous with top quality products and styled for ease of movement.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
There's a no-nonsense beauty about you, and people rightly sense there's more to you than meets the eye. Like take-charge diva Mary J. Blige, you're willing to do whatever's necessary to reach the top. You apply the same philosophy to your beauty regimen, scheduling workouts and haircuts with military precision. Be sure to showcase your softer side, too, by wearing pastel colours and light, shimmery makeup.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Like curious, intelligent Jennifer Aniston, your friendly style wins converts. You may be the girl next door, but you also have an experimental side that's reflected in your cutting-edge hairstyles and outfits. The most radical among you may put pink streaks in your hair or pierce your nose, playing up your 'offbeat and wacky' side. Give equal time to your feminine self via 'girly' things like having your makeup professionally done.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Dreamy and romantic are the words most often used to describe you. Like starry-eyed beauty Eva Longoria, you radiate a mysterious allure that stems from your connection to spirit and compassion for others. Play up your beautiful eyes by taking the time to be creative with shadows and liners. And, be sure to pamper those lovely feet with pedicures and reflexology -- it'll give you some relief from all that fancy footwear!

Girls have you ever wondered why you are drawn to one man's zodiac sign more than another? Then read on -as astrology explains the seductive qualities of each individual sign.
Aries (March 21 - April 19)
The Aries guy is fresh and youthful, no matter his age. Ruled by action-oriented Mars, the Ram's passion for life is legendary. But like Aries Russell Crowe or Robert Downey, Jr., he often tends to live on the edge. This can be exciting but dangerous. Not known for his discretion or fidelity in youth, it's later in life that the Ram learns to bank his fire and settle down a bit more.
Wiry and fit, the Aries man's physique will grab your attention before he's even had a chance to wow you with his devilish charm. Aries comes right out and tells you what he thinks, which can be disarming. If he finds you hot, you'll know it. He wants someone who can keep up with him -- athletically as well as sexually! The Ram is always up for a spontaneous trip to the mountains or a competitive game of tennis. The thrill of speed turns him on, and so does the color red. If you happen to drive a sporty red car, you may just be the lover of his dreams.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
There's an earthy charm and confidence about the Bull that makes him sexy. Even if he's not classically handsome, his sweet ways get him just about anything or anyone he wants. Fun and flirtatious, when it comes to commitment he moves slowly, like his other animal, the Tortoise. As with legendary actor and Taurean, Jack Nicholson, he's likely to stay single until someone really special comes along. But if he knows you're "the one," he'll take his time and wait 'til you come around.
Taurus is good with his hands and very sensual -- trading massages really turns him on. He's also tuned in to his body -- and yours! -- which makes him a sensitive lover. Unflappable and serene (unless pushed too far), he'll make you feel safe. He can get stuck in ruts, however. Often broad-chested and a bit fleshy, his warmth is comforting on chilly nights. Ruled by artistic Venus, he's both creative and practical. He'll build put up shelves for you or plan your diary, and feels manly doing so.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
With that twinkle in his eye and sexy smile, the Gemini man is a real delight. You'll be dazzled by his quick wit and sexy comebacks -- nobody can speak the language of seduction better than the Twins (Remember sexy Gemini Johnny Depp in that delirious romance Don Juan de Marco?). There's often an androgynous quality about this bloke -- his Twin aspect shows he's got a strong feminine as well as masculine side. And that means he understands the way both sexes think, which melts your defenses.
Though he can be fickle or two-faced, this guy will stick around for a partner who stimulates his mind. Ruled by mental Mercury, he's turned on by lively debates about media and culture. Travel stirs his blood, as well. Plan a spontaneous trip and keep him guessing about the destination to really fire him up.
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
The Leo guy is a natural showman and has a sexy, devil-may-care wit. Like the Sun, his ruling planet, he radiates manly confidence (despite his insecurities) and won't back down from a fight. In essence, he's a hero -- like Leo Antonio Banderas in The Mask of Zorro -- and his strength is his most appealing quality. Even the quieter Leo has a thrilling sense of masculinity about.
The Lion has the biggest heart of the zodiac, and shares it freely once he realizes (sometimes later in life) that the world doesn't revolve around him. He'll cook you a gourmet meal or take you shopping for a new stereo system. He likes the finer things in life, and wants an elegant (but fun!) partner on his arm. A little bit of praise turns him on; stroking the Lion's ego will really make him purr. As long as you don't upstage him or challenge him too forcefully and trigger his temper, this guy will be eating out of your hand. Letting him know how special he is on a regular basis will also tame the Lion.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
The Virgo guy is intelligent and thoughtful. He'll remember your birthday and your favourite scents. Ruled by lightning-quick Mercury, his mind is always going a mile a minute, and he tends to be overly analytical and sometimes critical. Yet just when his fussiness is about to drive you crazy, he'll give you that sexy, sheepish grin (like Virgo Hugh Grant) and melt your heart. Actually, his intelligence is his sexiest quality: he sees straight into you like a laser -- and lets you know how much he cares.
Though he can be overly mental, this is also an earthy guy. You can help him bring out his earthiness by doing yoga or planting a garden together. His desire to serve is another sexy attribute -- let him fix your computer or make you fresh carrot juice, and watch him beam with pleasure. Another plus in the turn-on department is Virgo's health-consciousness -- he usually has a fit, toned body. He's also a sensitive lover, once he gets past any performance anxiety.
Libra (September 23 - October 22)
The Libra man understands and adores his lovers, which is his most attractive quality. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love, he knows how to treat you (probably because he paid attention when his mother taught him manners). Candlelight dinners appeal to this guy, as do romantic walks on the beach. But he's also the thinking woman's turn-on. His agile mind and charming way with words can keep you up half the night, as he takes pleasure in talking about anything and everything. Libra is always up for a discussion about relationships or culture, and is a champion of fidelity and civil rights. Some may find him overly intellectual, though.
Artistic and creative, Libra has a real flair for style and his home is usually beautiful. His sweetness is irresistible, and you can lose yourself in those clear, all-seeing eyes. Luckily for you, Libra is a one-partner man. He's also quite social, and loves to cultivate mutual friendships. His delightful wit comes out at parties, but he will share the spotlight with the woman he loves. Chivalrous to a fault- this guy is a true gentleman.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
There's a quiet intensity to the Scorpio guy that'll reel you in. One look in those smoldering eyes (like those of Scorpio Joaquin Phoenix), and you're a goner. Even sexier is his sultry voice. This guy can literally mesmerize you. That's why Scorpios make great magicians and hypnotists. The Scorpion's sexual magnetism comes from someplace deep inside him, and its power is almost touchable. He's definitely not a match for those who want to stay on the surface of things.
Because he's ruled by Pluto, Lord of the underworld, this man knows how to keep secrets -- and may frustrate you with his reluctance to share his deepest feelings. But he's definitely not superficial, as you'll discover behind closed doors. If you fear the experience of being utterly consumed, then stay away from the Scorpion. At times possessive and jealous, he thrives on going all the way (and then some) sexually. But if you can match him, he'll bond with you for life.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
This guy has the call of the wild in his soul, and that far-off look in his eye is part of his attraction. Think of Sagittarian Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall or Seven Years in Tibet, and you'll understand the Archer's outdoorsy appeal. "Don't fence me in" is his motto. Like his animal, the horse, he responds well to gentle caresses and soothing words. Yet some may find him too hard to pin down.
The Archer is well read and well traveled, and he's a born teacher, too. He's also strong and appealingly muscular. Ruled by optimistic Jupiter, he tends to look on the bright side of things, and can pull you out of a funk in no time flat. His natural wit and storytelling abilities are thrilling. He's not what you'd call predictable, but this can make him irresistible. If you share his adventures but are also independent enough to let him be free, this man will adore you. Let him go off on his cross-country motorcycle rides or fishing expeditions, and he'll be more than happy to come home to you.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
The Goat has it together, or at least projects the image of being in control. Ruled by ambitious Saturn, he's a master of the material world. He also possesses the seductive attractiveness that goes with that kind of worldly power. Like the mountain goat, he always aims for the top. Think of indomitable (and ultra sexy) Capricorn Denzel Washington in all those roles where he triumphs over unimaginable challenges. You can't keep this guy down for long.
A natural father figure, the Goat will protect you -- which, along with his warmth and sheer physicality, make you feel secure. He is a solid, reliable presence once he commits. He gets better with age, too (think of Capricorn Anthony Hopkins, still sexy at nearly seventy). The Goat may not be as attuned to feelings as you'd like, but he makes a good mate if you can forgive him his occasional insensitivity and long hours at work. Though he appreciates a good parent for his kids, he's also looking to you to spice up his life.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Here's a guy who doesn't fit the mold. A true free spirit, his appeal comes from his courage to follow his own path in life. Usually ahead of his time, this guy's quirkiness is part of his genius. Ruled by inventive Uranus, he'll dazzle you with his utopian ideas and turn you on to worlds you never knew existed. Experimental and even kinky at times, he'll keep you guessing and take you to the edge, sexually. Emotionally, he tends to be reticent and doesn't like to talk about feelings. Accept him as he is, and he'll love you for it.
Freedom-loving Aquarius makes a great friend, though he tends to be gun-shy of commitments. But if you can give him a long leash, he'll stick by your side. Like Aquarian John Travolta flying his jet or Paul Newman racing his cars, this guy loves the sound of the wind in his ears. Be like Joanne Woodward, who brings her knitting to the track to quietly support her man. Sharing an interest in metaphysics or volunteering for humanitarian pursuits can give you a higher purpose that will keep you together.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Sensitive and caring, Pisces fills you with tingly feelings as he swims straight into your heart. And when he fixes that dreamy gaze on you, it's hard not to turn to jelly. Pisces loves to touch and be touched -- and often communicates best non-verbally. You'll be transported to other dimensions just holding each other. Sex and spirit are one in the same to this guy, which makes your lovemaking ecstatic.
There's something appealingly wounded about Pisces that makes you want to rescue him and take him home. Sometimes accused of not being "manly" enough, this guy may overcompensate (like Pisces Bruce Willis in all those action movies) to prove he's not a softie. Ruled by imaginative Neptune, he's often a talented musician, artist or dancer. Despite his strong physique, his spiritual nature makes him seem otherworldly. As long as he's not trying to avoid reality through addiction or escapism, he makes a stalwart and attentive mate. Go swimming with him in a quiet bay or take a dance class together. This guy doesn't like to be alone, and will respond to your desire to bond.

Peter Underwood, President of the National Ghost Club of Britain, carried out a ten-year survey on the times when most ghosts were spotted.
And despite Hollywood hype, midnight is not the most likely time to bump into a spook!
His findings unsurprsingly revealed that the majority were seen during the hours of darkness: 54 per cent against 46 per cent. But, of those seen during the hours of darkness 78 per cent were seen during the early hours - between 4.00 a.m. and 6.00 a.m. - when, perhaps many people are between sleep and full awakeness.
A great number are, still of course, reported around the midnight hour - popularly regarded as the time most likely to spot a ghost than any other hour of the day or night!
If you’re of nervous dispostion perhaps it’s best not to leave your bedroom during these times!!

The Book of Shadows is the name used for a book that contains magical and religious texts in the religion of Wicca and other witchcraft traditions.
A Book of Shadows typically contains details of the witch’s personal spells, rituals, practices, ethics and philosophy of Wicca.
In British” Traditional Wicca”, which generally revolves around the structure of the coven, the book is traditionally copied by hand from that of one’s initiating High Priestess or Priest, who copied theirs in turn from their initiator.
But in” Eclectic Wiccan” (solitary practitioners) a Book of Shadows is usually a personal journal of the witch’s journey in witchcraft.
Witches usually make their own books but for “the curious ” like most things these days “The Book of Shadows” has been commercialised and can be found for sale in New Age shops and even on EBay.

The Tarot “Death” card appropriately numbered, ”13″, worries many people when it appears in a Tarot reading.
As an experienced psychic, I have seen even the biggest, most strapping of men look distinctly uncomfortable by its presence.
So is there any need to fear it?
Does the Death card literally mean the death of the person having the reading orof someone close?
Remember the Blue Oyster Cult hit, “Don’t Fear the Reaper”?

Is someone that you love unwell physically or emotionally?
Would you love to help heal their body or spirit but they are many miles away from you?
Healing doesn’t necessarily require the presence of the person being healed.
Healing can be transmitted over a distance and still have a positive effect.
It must be remembered healing is not a replacement for conventional medicine but forms part of a complimentary approach. It’s a way of boosting the body’s healing process. It can do no harm when approached in this way.

You may never have seen or felt your own aura but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. And you can if you wish establish a strong connection with it.
Why not see your aura as your own personal energy shield. It protects you from harmful influences from people and the world around you. So the sooner you recognize and honour it, the better you will feel.
TUNING INTO AURAS
It is much easier to see an aura, whether it is your own or someone else’s than you might imagine. For most people, it takes only a couple of minutes to detect an aura. Once you have made this initial leap from seeing nothing to seeing something, you are on a fascinating path to seeing auras in more detail. You will be to notice them surrounding everyone you meet.
HOW TO SEE AURAS
There are two ways you might see auras. The first is by simply noticing it with your eyes, and the second is by observing it with your mind’s eye. Some people find they get better results from working with the latter i.e. inner vision.
It doesn’t matter which method you use - there is no right or wrong way to see auras it’s just whichever method works best for you.
HOW TO SEE AURAS WITH YOUR INNER VISION
You already use your inner vision, often without being aware of it when you think of something that triggers your imagination. For example when you remember an event you are seeing it with your inner vision. You do not make any special effort to do this - it just comes naturally.
This method works equally well with auras. All you need to do is look closely at the person or animal whose aura you wish to study, fix their image in your mind, and then look away. Next, close your eyes and remember the image. You might see it in detail or simply in silhouette. Can you see the aura surrounding it? Believe in the image that comes to you and resist any temptation to alter it in any way if it does not match what you were expecting to see. Write down what you have observed either in words or pictures, so you can compare notes for next time you practice this exercise. Keep practicing and it will become second nature to you.
WHAT THE COLOURS MEAN
Although auras can change colour according to our moods and our physical and emotional well being, we generally have one colour that is always present in our auras. This colour says a lot about us, because it describes our attitudes and beliefs. The interpretations given below are only suggestions but I have found them useful; however you may begin to develop your own ideas once you start to develop your aura reading skills.
RED
This is a vibrant colour to find in anybody’s aura. It indicates that the individual is enterprising, dynamic & competitive. Often they enjoy being active and have a love of sports. Clear red indicates someone who loves life and lives it to the full. However, a dull red indicates anger or resentment.
ORANGE
Orange is a lovely warm and energising colour and someone who has an orange aura is very positive and confident. This person goes through life believing all things will go well. Beware, of someone who has an overly bright orange aura has it often indicates an egotistical character.
GREEN
A clear green aura is found surrounding loving and affectionate people they instinctively want to create harmony for others. This may make them overly anxious to please and they may be taken advantage of. They have a great love of the outdoors and nature. Watch out for someone with a harsh green aura - they are often stubborn and inflexible to any new ideas.
YELLOW
People with yellow auras tend to be life’s thinkers. They would never rush into a decision. You may find them outgoing and very sociable. However, beware of someone with a murky yellow aura and they are probably less than truthful.
BLUE
Blue is the colour that belongs to someone who is idealistic and who has strong beliefs about what is right or wrong. They are often a seeker of spiritual knowledge and could be drawn to practice some form of healing. However, a dark blue aura indicates someone who is conservative in their views and afraid of change
PURPLE
People with purple auras right through from pale lilac to rich purple indicate someone with a strong sense of spiritual purpose. They are humanitarian and care deeply about the fate of others. A clear purple indicates a strong psychic ability.
GOLD
A gold aura is rarely seen. Someone with a gold aura has a tremendous amount of potential and the ability to make a big contribution to the world. They have a deep sense of spirituality and visionary qualities. However, if someone has a dirty gold aura - take care. They have a strong materialistic streak and will stop at nothing to gain power.
BROWN A person with a rich brown aura is very practical and down to earth, and often has a strong love of animals. They enjoy working out of doors and are often very talented at growing plants. A red-brown aura indicates someone who likes to take care of others.
Don’t be worried if you find someone with a black aura, it is not necessarily a negative sign. It usually indicates the person who wants to hide away from the world for a time. A black aura, whether it is completely black or with streaks usually indicates someone who is physically exhausted. A dense black aura indicates a needy person who may leech energy from others.
By learning to read and interpret your own and the aura of others, you will find it opens up a new understanding of the people who surround you in your daily life. It could transform your relationships, career and health.
