Basil is believed to possess magical properties and increase the chances of conception. Carefully snip off a little bunch from your plant and tie the red ribbon in a bow round the stems, 
making a bouquet. Hang the basil over your bed and light the red candles. Be sure to make love that night. When the basil starts to wilt, replace it with a fresh bunch, to keep your fertility tip-top.
